Getting ready:

This is last call for any other additional activities that need a
sign-up, headcount, or other hoop-jump.

Other than a couple of items, it looks like we're ready to go for
activity signup.

Thanks to all who sent in updates. We're about ready to go! :)
. . . . .

I was thinking more about Julie's note a couple weeks ago about the lack
of the Annual Mixer. I would like some feedback on the idea of having a
later after-Bahama-Breeze "Annual Mixer" over at the Goodtimes like we
have had many years.

I have a feeling that if we don't plan something, the group will scatter
to the winds after dinner, but if we have something like this, just a
good old fashioned drink and shoot the $#!+ thing, we'll get a good
number of our people there for some more QST.

Comments?

Laundry List:

Very short now. Thanks to all who helped make it this way. :)
. . .

Michelle, can you also please confirm if your movie outing is still
happening? If so, how do you want to work out the details?
. . . . .

Garden Party? Tootsye? Any news?
. . . . .

All: Local NSD alternative? Cindy has volunteered to host a drink-out at
Goodtimes at 9:00pm, but we'll probably need something that starts
before that, either Goodtimes or elsewhere. Ideas? Volunteers?

Karaoke and RHPS:

Densie writes:

>I was thinking of doing karaoke on Friday night. Is there a place that

I don't know of any GLBT places that have Karaoke on Fridays. Locals,
do you know of any?

I know of a few mainstream places that do. Imperial Palace has karaoke
in the {mumble} Lounge, up front, right off the Strip, on Fridays.
Either Boulder Station or Sams Town (forget which, I keep getting those
two mixed up) has it too.

Locals?

>Is Rocky Horror still on, for sure? I think that's the only activity
>that we're planning on doing.

The last I heard it was still on every Saturday.

Do any locals know for sure? Web sites tend to be incredibly stale and
dated.

One thing I would suggest, however, is that you consider coming a bit
earlier than you planned and doing a few more things with the group.
We really have a lot of fun things this year and I'm certainly looking
forward to it. There's just about everything on there this year.

Thrift shopping:

Sarah writes:

Let's put this on the schedule for Thursday afternoon, but you might
want to be a bit flexible on day/time since there is still one big gun
wildcard (Garden Party) that has yet to be assigned a timeslot, and I
would hate to be the one promoting something opposite it. Thursday is
one timeslot where the GP may land.

Other timeslots where thrift shopping might work, depending on various
other factors, of course, might be Friday morning/afternoon and Saturday
morning/afternoon.

Also, please select a time and a rendezvous point. Thanks.

DLV 2006 pins:

Yvonne reports that the pins are in and look just fine:

>Last night on my back porch was a package from UPS. Yes, it was the pin

>Also this years pin has the military clutch back, which I think will
>hold the pin better than last years rubber ones. I guess my years in

>Depending on the light and angles looking at the pin, the logo is

Please join me in thanking Yvonne for spearheading the pin project again
this year. You can view the pin on line at:

Bowling update:

Michelle (NV) writes:

>Bowling is at 2:30 on monday at samstown. its $2.00 pergame plus a
>couple for shoe rental.

>Just pay me when we get there.

Thanks, Michelle. I'll get this in the activity sign-up. I'll put on the
usual wording that no-show-no-pay will be majorly un-cool. :)

Eating Out:

Kate writes:

>I am tempted to try a local, "Kate style" casual eat and drink place
>while in town and wondered if Mindy's suggestion of The Blue Ox is
>still an option for the Wednesday night dining out. It's not shown on
>the Wednesday night alternatives.

It's an option as long as you will be there. :)

I'll get it on the schedule, please confirm that this is a "definite"
prior to this weekend so I can be sure to get it on activity sign-up.

I'll also assume that unless I hear otherwise, this will be the Blue Ox
on Valley View, north of DI.

Thanks.

High Tea:

Jamie writes:

>I finally got the "High Tea" set-up. It will be on Wednesday the 19th

>like there will be a number limit, but it is about what we have
>historicly had, so that should not create any problems.

Thanks, Jamie. It's on the schedule.

Which venue did you decide on?

Also, if you can please give us some detail regarding where in the venue
the High Tea will be held. In the past there's been some confusion in a
large facility.

Please let me know the price and capacity ASAP. IIRC, both were around
25 in the past. :)
