No general mailing last week. No biggie. :)

Looks like we're up to 62 so far, not including one SO who dropped out.
2 validations outstanding as of this morning.

Speaking of which >>HINT<< there are a few very conspicuously absent
names! :)

Newcomer registration for list people opens this weekend, so fasten your
seat belts, gang! :)

Wedding plans:

Cheryl writes:

>Annie- The wedding is set for Friday 4-21 @ 4:00-4:30.

Ok, thanks, I'll mark that solid on the schedule.

>I've talked to Nora and the reception is set for the Bahama Breeze
>beginning with the happy hour @ 6:00 P.M. and dinner to follow @
>7:00. We think it will be over around 9:00 P.M.

Here's what I show the Friday evening schedule to be as of this time:

Friday, April 21:
            4:00pm Wedding Ceremony (TBD)
            6:00pm Wedding Reception (Bahama Breeze)
            7:00pm Dinner (Bahama Breeze)

>Of course there is no charge to attend the wedding, but I will need a
>head count for this as the chapel only holds so many. They have a 25
>person chapel and a 50 person chapel. I'm going to reserve the 25
>person chapel for now, but could change to the bigger one , if
>necessary.

Cheryl, which chapel is this? I won't publish it until the Large Final
Mailing, but I'm starting to make up the maps, final schedules, etc.
at this time.

It will be your call if you want to get the larger one or limit the
attendance. We can do a "sign-up requested, not required" and get you
a ballpark count prior to the event. My guess is that there will be a
certain fallout due to whim and overload, so if the count runs a bit
higher than 25 it will not be a big deal.

We will, of course, have the usual sign-up for dinner. Nora needs an
advance ballpark figure to give to the staff.

>Each person is responsible for their own fare at the reception, ie:
>drinks, dinner ,etc.

Understood.

>Cyndi and I are really excited about renewing our vows and hope many
>of the DLV participants will want to take part.

And, we're looking forward to having this as part of the DLV lineup. :)

LV lil Deb show:

Edy writes:

>Yes Annie, I would be glad to take the lead on this if I can get
>another volunteer to assist. Loraine, are you out there??

>However, I am reluctant to schedule this event without ever seeing the
>show. Should we do this now, show sight unseen???

My hunch is that since it's run now for several months it will be worth
attending. Shows that totally suck usually close immediately. (Well,
mostly, there was Dr. Naughty.)

>I Can view the show when I visit there early March.

How 'bout this. Let's put it on the schedule subject to your final
approval in March. If you think it's really not worth it, we can
substitute something else or just drop it from the schedule totally.

>Monday or Wednesday?? Monday may have a greater attendance and serve
>as warm up for the week to come. Wednesday may make the show a more
>featured event but attendees may be going in different directions that
>night.

Really your call. I think Monday would be best, as the theater will be
less crowded and our gang will be fresh.

On Wednesday there will be more options. I'm planning to do something
that evening, maybe lead a night casino hopping trip or pub crawl or
something.

I really think Monday will be the best for this.

Little Girl stuff:

Sarona writes:

>Hello again from Sarona. Thanks, Annie, for your very good
>suggestions. Here is the summary of what I will host, and when:

>Monday night: signup with me for Wednesday night dressup, quiet talk
>at my timeshare after the main DLV events for those who could not find
>me at the main events or those who want to meet-n-greet before
>Wednesday.

>Tuesday afternoon: shopping for Easter dresses (after lunch, so meet
>at Sahara buffet entrance)

Ginger has stated that she plans to try rotating the LW(o)G among
different venues this year. I'm assuming that you mean you will meet at
the LW(o)G venue du jour, then? :)

Ginger?

>I won't host anything for Tuesday night, I want to go to spoiled doves
>myself.

>Wednesday after lunch (3pm?), significant others support group at my
>timeshare.

>Wednesday evening will be the "Little Girl and Lingerie" dress-up and
>show off at the timeshare, one of the alternate dinner choices. People
>may begin to arrive at five if they want to come early to change
>clothes. I think "Little Girl" is the best phrasing.

>thanks again for your ideas and help

You're very welcome. Let me get these solid on the schedule. :)

RHPS:

>Yippee! Rocky Horror Picture Show! I go to that kind of frequently out
>here. Maybe I just like dancing in the aisles with strangers, I dunno.

RHPS is not for everybody, but I always get a kick out of it, even
though I lost count shortly after 100. :)

>Perhaps an alternative bar crawl beforehand?

Well, I'm hoping for more of an "exciting" feature activity for Saturday
night, and quite honestly I'm getting a bit concerned by the lack of
one. I would hate to have a fizzle-out weak ending 3 years in a row! :(

I really think a bar crawl would be better for one option on our multi
track Wednesday, but we can always keep this in the back pocket in
reserve for Saturday.

Thanks. You do have a point. We've always considered the matching of
partners to be a totally neutral factor in planning DLV. Whenever
people get together, intimacy will occur, and there's nothing wrong
with that. It's natural. It happens.

However (comma) I do think that we have to keep the {word here} level
of DLV high enough that it's not viewed as just another event to find
somebody to wake up with.
