Latest ORG updates:

As everybody knows the dates have been set and announced. We're now
entering what's traditionally been the slowest part of our planning
year, so don't be surprised if a week is skipped every so often.
. . . . .

The next big item on our schedule is the hotel selection, which we're
scheduled to announce to the Teeming Millions in the December mailing.

The floor is open for hotel discussion at this time.

The big question is along the line of do we want to attempt to do any
rate negotiating.

If this is to happen, it will of course be up to those who see this as a
priority to make it happen.

I would say that if you fall into that camp, now is the time to start.
Please feel free to contact hotels on behalf of DLV, but do keep in mind
a few things such as the fact that we do not have any front money to
hold X number of rooms, and that we as a group cannot contractually
commit to any level of occupancy or exclusivity.

Spamalot:

Thanks, MB, please let us know. I think this may be a very strong
contender for a "Big Show" for DLV 2006.

I'm thinking that Marie C's would appeal to those who want to have the
experience of going to a mainstream plain old American place but don't
get the opportunity to do so. It could be a good "second step" out, for
those who have been to the GLBT bars and the "safe" dining venues, but
don't think they're ready for something far more open and conspicuous.

Thanks, Dorothy. I took the liberty of adjusting the URL on the last
general mailing so we can track hits and such.

I took a good look at it and yes, several of them are available in sizes
up to adult 2XL. I know that some of the "cuter" styles are not, but
I do think there is now a more equitible selection.

Again, big thanks to Dorothy for setting this up and maintaining it. :)
