Org List:
This is the DLV 2005 Organizational Mailing List (dlvorg@geekbabe.com)
Replies to this message will be forwarded to the DLVORG list and not
the DLV-Announce or DLV-Discuss list.
Ongoing activity database appears on the web at:

Milestones:
We're approaching the two-month mark next week.
In general, things are looking great. Thanks to everybody for making
this year the smoothest I can remember. :)
We're also less than a month away from our target date of March 15 for
having major activity details solid. Any activity that needs a sign-up
or other hoop-jump will need to be finalized as far as day and timeslot
before we can launch the activity sign-up process.
I apologize in advance for nagging, but the loose ends with regard to
major activities will appear toward the top of that dreaded Laundry
List. :)
. . . . .
Unless something major happens between now and Sunday, this week will be
another "skip" week for the general mailing list.
Validated headcount sits at 103 as of this minute. No outstanding
validations again. Cooperation has been very good.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Laundry list:
Updates on all of these will be appreciated. :)
* Mindy, High Tea. Has a location been selected? Has a timeslot been
selected? We need day and timeslot soon, please.
. . .
* Michelle (NV)? Carluccio's? Anything to report?
. . .
* Local people? Is anybody in contact with Tushell over at Bad Attitude?
They have not responded to my query about any special promotions or
an open house or something.
. . .
* Lorraine? Which restaurant in the Paris are you going to use for your
Eating Out Night location?
. . .
* Diane, Tawni? What's the suggested dress for the dance instruction?
. . .
* All, do we want a local alternative to the Night Of The Soiled Doves?
Going three times, gavel raised ... :)
. . .
* Mindy, will there be a charge for the Pity Party this year?
. . .
* SO activities?
Any more SO thoughts or discussion? Going once {again} ...
. . .
* Mindy, Nora, Any decision for the Garden Party location?
. . .
Thanks, gang! :)

Thanks, Nora. :)

Ok, is this a "go" for Friday after SG/DH then?

How about this ... I'll watch ... from a distance. :)

I would say it's intended for those who want to go sunbathing in their
preferred mode but have not had the opportunity to do so for one reason
or another. I'm sure nobody in either mode will be unwelcome.
Comments, Diane?

Hmmmmm ... Last year I don't think we stopped for any booze, and IIRC
there was stuff left over. I know we didn't even touch the Galiano. :)

I agree. We do have a great bunch of people. Feedback and discussion
along this line can help us get better in tune with what some of our
newer people really need.
. . . . .
Rideshare & Taxi--
>I would recommend Rideshare with our Group or a Taxi --- both are safe

Again I agree. I think our ride share program has worked out well over
the years. Taxis have also been shown to be quite safe.

We can add beverage preference to the LT sign-up screen. I can use the
one we used previously as a template.

I will bring 2 radios, assuming the cow-orkers have not destroyed them
as of April. :)

Ok, so noted. There's more information on this below.

I'll take that as a "no" suggestion then. :)

>What do you think?
Since you're the hostess for LWG, it's really your call, but I tend to
think that something like the one-shot lunch at Bellagio should be in
addition to and not in place of the regularly scheduled recurring one.
If you personally would rather do Bellagio that particular afternoon,
you do have the option of designating a temporary alternate host or
hostess for LWG.

Transformation coverage:
This was received in response to my request for further information
about the query regarding Transformation Magazine coverage.

It looks like what they want is to use some of our photos, as opposed to
sending one of their people to cover DLV.
