Our friends in the Pr0n industry:

Wow, with all of the comments that have come in, I'm beginning to think
that I'm the most liberal around here with regard to these clowns. :)
Everybody seems to agree that we want as much distance between us and
these people, whoever they happen to be.

I want to give these guys an absolute minimum of attention. I don't want
to focus any of the attendees' attention on them or their party.

Therefore, I don't want to see such things as obvious disclaimers, notes
in the mailings stating that we are not associated with them, etc. Those
would only draw our peoples' attention in their direction.

(Yes, I know I put the one note back up on the web page. This happened a
day before this party thing broke, when I started to see another round
of referrals from things like the BigStudsWhoLoveLadyboys group and crap
like that.)

I'm very mixed, neutral, actually, as to whether we should cancel the
registration of Opal. Yes, I'm sure she's attending primarily to promote
their thing, but as I think more about it, I wonder about setting a
precedent on excluding somebody for something we think they might do.

I would *REALLY* hate for one of their close friends, who might be
registered and who we have no clue is in their group, to be blasting
around to the DLV people of how we excluded her and would not let her
come and all of that.

I'll go with the flow on nuking her registration. So far we have one
vote to cancel (below) and no votes to keep it. Polls close just before
the LFM goes out. :) (No, there will not be a CFV mailing, just respond
here if you feel one way or another on it.)

Problem Children:

Jamie writes:

>Why not just give forward them to a 401 page?

We could.

401 implies authorization is needed, which is really not the case.
Very technically, faking a 401 error is a protocol violation.

We could also 404, but I don't want to give the impression to anybody
that our site is down.

Just remember, if it comes in a tall conical bottle and is yellow, it
should stay in the store, right? :) (Unless you need something to clean
out your fuel injectors, that is.)

Pr0n and NSD:

Ginger writes:

I think they are actively ignoring us. We do show that both messages
were delivered to the recipients' servers.

>Would a disclaimer on the Diva Las Vegas web site be in order?
>Just a sugestion or question?

I don't want to give these clods any more attention than we need to. We
do have a disclaimer on the site already WRT sexually oriented groups
and sites, and that covers it, IMAO.

>I'm bad to procrastinate....

I've always wanted to procrastinate, but I never really got around to
it.

>please remind me for the NSD what time I
>need to have my limo in the San Remo parking lot to leave for the

Here's my best guess as to the timing of the NSD side trip:

We'll leave San Remo at 6:05-6:10. We've announced for 3 months that
we will leave promptly, and I *know* we will have an overflow crowd on
time. Your driver(s) meter(s) will be running, so it will be good to
depart as soon as everybody is loaded. (Into the vehicles, that is.)

Arrive at the CR right about 7:00pm.

Let's say that we will realistically leave the CR at about 8:30. It will
be essentially up to Aiko to "call time" on this. Yes, the meter(s) will
be running all this time.

We should then arrive at Sonic about 9:30. Figure then about an hour
to eat and get people back at San Remo and/or LVL around 10:30.

That's my best real-world guess at the timing. At 4-5 hours, I know it's
more than you planned for. Please be sure to adjust the limo "fare" to
include enough plus a tip.

>Thanks I want to make my reservation before it's too late!

IIRC, with Bell-Trans, they can get you a car, or another car at very
short notice.

I'll be sure you get a copy of the final NSD sign-up list. I assume you
will be taking limo reservations between Sunday and Tuesday.

Not one comment at all in favor of joining forces with them.

Personally, I'm more miffed at their stonewall non-response to us than
to the linking or the use of the logo.

>At this time, I'd like to suggest that Opal's registration is cancelled

So noted. {mark on chalkboard} Any other "votes", ladies? (Gentlemen?)

Well, we can move it to www.lvmpd.com tomorrow. :)

Seriously, I do want to move it, as to not conspicuously keep hitting
server logs in any one place.

I was thinking of rotating it between such things as www.family.org,
www.jbs.org, www.wctu.org, www.ou.org and other quite harmless but very
"staid" organizations that I know the people who click on that link will
have ABSOLUTELY NO interest in. (www.peepdance.com ?) :) :) :)

Late news, as of 0200 today we only had 3 hits referred to by that page,
so it's not getting that much traffic. Not one of them appeared to back
up and try again, as I expected.

Hi!

Although I've been known to drink almost anything ... lol ... how about
some champagne? Nothing too pricey, but just some bubbly to go with the
whole limo thing?

Champagne, of course! Also maybe some vodka/sour mix, but I'll go with
the flow as long as it's not Galiano [sic] or parts cleaner or dimethyl
hydrazine or anything nasty.
