Updates and such:
Good news is that registrations have started to come in again. We got
2 over the weekend. One appears to be an admirer from the LV area and
the other appears to be a TG from the mountain states.
89 reconfirmations plus 19 SO's for total of 108 as of this time. 10
pending cancellations this Wednesday and 7 with activity selection
pending.
A couple voluntary cancellations. I would much rather see this than a
flat-out no-show. Only one I think was a result of the note that went
out Sunday.
. . . . .
It appears as of this time we have two options for Wednesday evening
which are complete enough to propose to the group for final discussion
and a vote. Two previous suggestions have been withdrawn, as you will
see below, for various reasons.
Option 1: Sasha's as planned, with fallback. Happy Hour at 5:00. Dinner
at 6:30. Leah will try to arrange for Michael Cagle to do a dinner show.
Should Sasha's be unable to hold this, it will be Happy Hour at Freezone
at 5:00, dinner at Freezone with overflow to Milano's at 6:30.
Option 2: Hard Rock Cafe. Happy Hour at (tbd) with dinner to follow.
If there are any other complete proposals, please send them in, as we
will vote on Wednesday if no clear consensus has formed.

Sasha's for Wednesday:
Leah writes:

Thanks, Leah. Please keep things tentative until the vote on Wednesday,
since the can of worms for other activities has been opened. I think
there are some who prefer HRCafe over Sasha's, so the vote is the
correct way to decide unless a very clear consensus emerges over the
next couple days.
>I am assuming we will pass the hat for him as well?
Most definitely! I will be happy to lead the charge on that one.

Wed Night:
Kate writes:

Ok, I will remove your Carluccio's proposal from the ballot.
>I was just wondering though, What happened to the Greek Isles thing we
>discussed a while back and has the situation got any better there?
IIRC, that was a womens improv type of thing that closed many months
ago. I don't remember any situation that needed to get any better, the
show closed and we dropped it from the schedule.
>And would that be a possibility for a supper/night out etc'.
Not really sure what you mean there. If you mean as a possibility for a
Wednesday evening thing, it would take some investigation and a specific
plan we could vote on.

Nix on Nick's:
>I don't think Nick's will work out, especially at a cap of $20-25 with

>group that large would have to be in the private room, not in the

>of the purpose of DLV.
Ok, thanks, Cat. I'll remove this from the ballot. Sometimes things
just don't work out.
>I did not mean to suggest that Freezone or any other place be used to
>replace going to Goodtimes. If anyone interpreted my comments that
>way, it was incorrect and I apologize.
I certainly did not hear that. Did I say something that maybe you
thought I said that? Oh well. :) Since Goodtimes on Wed is one of those
things that not everybody will want to do, I'm not concerned about
anybody scheduling something opposite.

I have never been to either. As you say, televised sports may be very
scarce that Monday.

Consider it done.
That *should* be enough time for those returning from Area 51 to get
changed (if they want to) and such. If it does not, some can be
fashionably late.

Uh ... yeah ...

Freezone:

This sounds promising, especially if it is used as a fallback safety
net.

I don't think a deposit is an option here. If we use Freezone as a
safety net, I'm sure ordering off the menu (yes, it is somewhat limited,
bar food and the like, Tina posted the link to it the other day) will be
fine for most. Those who want something else can wander over to Milano's
after HH or even up the street to HM's or HRC.
>I told her I would give the information to those who make the choices.
>She is not part of the bar evidently, as you only get food through her,

Sounds like the food operation is a sublease type of thing, with
separate accounting.

Yes, very much, Cat. Thanks. Comments, ladies?
