Triangle District parking:

Good point, Leah. Thanks.

An idea:

I've been doing a lot of thinking ... yes, dangerous, I know ... much
about Tina's proposal of a dinner at Freezone, with possible overflow
across the street to Milano's and to other places in the area.

One big advantage of Tina's plan is that it requires very little formal
coordination. Just a phone call to Freezone to expect a larger crowd for
HH and dinner that evening.

Something like this could even be done at the last minute.

{lightbulb} It would indeed be possible, if Sasha's looks somewhat
stable at this time, to keep our existing plans for Sasha's, and
substitute Tina's Freezone-with-overflow plan very quickly should
Sasha's close at short notice.

It's my hunch that Sasha's got into a cash crunch around the 10th of
this month, when some major item became due. I would therefore assume
that if Sasha's does close, it will be around the 10th of April, giving
us more than enough time to fall back to Tina's plan.

In a worst-case situation, say Sasha's closes Wednesday the 23rd at
4:59pm, all we would really need to do is to station somebody over
by Sasha's to direct people to the Freezone across the street. Even
a sign on the door "DLV 2000 Happy Hour and Dinner across the street
at Freezone" might work. (Hmmm ... shades of FanFair 1975. :)

I would say that if Sasha's is still alive and well on April 16, the
day the LFM with the final schedule is sent out, it's almost certain
to be open on the 23rd.

If Sasha's should close between now and April 16, it's very easy to
drop in the replacement on the schedule and in the driving directions
and such.

No, you and Tony and the other Annie, and various people egging all
of you on, made it up the next year. :)

Actually, I don't think I had any Galiano{sic} last year either.

If you want me to put up the "full" flag on either or both of the air
tours, let me know. As of this minute and second we have 10 signed up
for the Thursday tour and 7 signed up for the Friday one.

Yes. As long as Southwest (the least likely to go bankrupt) is still
flying, or the highways are open in the worst case, I will be there
too.

>>>And YES, Milano's is the best kept secret in Vegas!

>Whose turn is it to bring the rubber chicken this year?

I oughta throw that in one of the boxes of junk I'm shipping out there.
It's been a great conversation piece around the office and I'm sure it
will be out there too. :)

One of our people reported a significant management attitude problem
toward T* people at the Orleans a while back. I've avoided the place
ever since.

I've been to Gold Coast, Barbary Coast (played, never ate), and Suncoast
(excellent buffet) with no problems however.

My opinion of the Luxor buffet is that it's tres ordinaire. IMAO, ok,
but not worth going out of the way for.
