This could almost be called the Special Monique Edition, since much of
the material is from her this time.

We have a vote coming up tomorrow on the two options that have been
presented to the group:

A. Sasha's, as planned, with fallback to Freezone/Milano's. (Tina's plan)

B. Hard Rock Cafe. (Ginger's plan)

If there's any more discussion on the Wednesday options, please get it
in before about 10:00pm (CST) Tuesday (today) and I'll get it sent out.

Remember, vote early, vote often. :)
. . . . .

Two more registrations have come in. Unless something drastic happens,
they will most likely continue to trickle in until T-0.

Next batch of sign-ups and reminders goes out tomorrow. Also, first
batch of no-response cancellations goes out tomorrow as well. Jena, I'll
have the first list of names tomorrow evening.
. . . . .

I'm making an arbitrary decision to discontinue the roommate matching
program. If anybody wants the particulars, contact me off line.

HRCafe response:

To keep everybody in the loop ...

+Hi "Ginger",

+Again apologies for the delay in getting back to you on this as someone
+had taken my writing pad with all you contact on it.

+However, Please note that I have tentatively blovcked off the South
+side dining room for your group. The area seats upto 85 persons at a
+selection of tables ranging from tables of six to tables of 10. It's a
+great area and is semi private so to speak.

+I have noted that there is no registration fee and I do not have a
+problem with the numbers changing as we go along. In return if you can
+help me out it would be appreciated.....

+I'll need a rough head count before your group arrives.....

+2. I'll need everyone that is attending this event at the Hard Rock
+Cafe to have dinner and order off the attached menu ($25 - inclusive of
+tax & service charge).

(Note, menu attachment did not come thru. If we vote for this, I'll ask
Ginger to resend to my main address, I'll then reformat and send it
out.)

+I can set-up a check-in table for you at the entrance and if you can
+assist us in collecting the amount that would be great. I can even get
+the meal tickets made up here for you.

+The bar area will not be able to accommodate the entire group but I can
+allow them into the southside dining area starting at 5:30 Pm for
+cocktails and we can start dinner at 6:15-6:30 Pm.

+Please be assured that your group will be welcomed at Hard Rock Cafe
+Las Vegas.

+One of our Company Motto is "LOVE ALL AND SERVE ALL" we truly beleive
+in it and excute it daily.

+I have this morning told our servers that your group may be coming, and
+they are excited. Everyone is going to have a lot of fun.

+With regard to restrooms..... I think if it was the other way it may
+cause more problems.

+Thank you and best regards Peter Lin

Even if we do not vote for this one this year, I think this is a very
good response and would make a great facility to use next year.

Again, I would like to thank Ginger and Monique for taking the ball and
running with it on this.

You will know just as soon as the vote is final. Everybody can help on
this by getting their votes in promptly.

I would guess that the numbers will SAY about 80 for this by DLV time,
but there will be some fallout. My guess would be 50 or so should we
indeed have it at Sasha's, slightly lower for the HRCafe.

And again:

>>Comments?

>I'm in agreement with this...see my pervious posts.

Thanks. Personally, I think we have two very good options here. Let's
let the group decide tomorrow.
