Updated Laundry list:
1. Club Girl Talk. Michelle, is this still going on? I've queried the
Yahoo group and not received a response. Is this still "on" for Thursday
evening of DLV?
2. Hidden Woman package receiving. I'm kinda assuming that this will be
on again this year, but could one of you close to the source please
confirm this. GB has already announced this, and we do wanna give the
two equal billing if possible.
3. Shuttle van. The sound of silence. I don't think we should keep the
people hanging on this one. We need to make a decision whether we will
go forward with it, or drop the idea for this year.
Yes, I know it's possible to schedule these at short notice, but I don't
wanna have the people expect this to happen, and have it not happen, or
have people make plans for rental cars and such and then find out it
indeed is happening after a long silence.
See another comment below.
If this is to happen, we need one or more people to "adopt" this.

Ok, after the first round of signups I'll send you an initial dump of
those who responded. I'll also send you (off line) instructions on how
to query the database manually and how to identify those who have
responded to the activity headcounts.

I do appreciate the efforts, and the consideration. :)

I used my judgement in each case.
I normalize the names in the database to eliminate courtesy titles and
put first name before last name, if any. (You would be surprised at the
variations people can use in there.) I do this as the registrations come
in, so you will always see them normalized.
I always eliminate surnames on badges for t* events, this going back
some 20+ years. If people have a need to know that, they can ask.
(People always mispronounce mine, so I guess I'm biased here. :)
If there is a hyphenated or dual name (like Julie Anne) I'll put the
two on one line if they fit, else on two lines.
In a couple cases I have printed a parenthesized familiar form, such
as Denise (Densie), but she will not wear one anyway. :) :) :)

Are you volunteering to organize one? :) (You knew I was gonna ask that,

Seriously, something that large and varied might certainly be less
threatening to those new to going out in public. Maybe this would be
a good "Shopping 101" type of place.
