What I'm hearing is a proposal for two daily standing activities, those
being a lunch/brunch thing and another for a cocktail hour. I'll get
these on the proposed list.

I do like the idea of having a designated rider pick-up time (and place)
for each activity. It eliminates the hassle of each driver/rider pair
coordinating multiple times and places. I think it would work well
assuming people don't habitually run late.
I think 30 minutes is a good choice for a default pick-up time, with
others varying as needed, such as before shows, or where more time is
needed for any of several reasons.

I remember one day during DLV when they were hoisting those cement
thingies into place, they had Paradise down to one lane north between
Convention Center and Sahara, and it was a MESS! IIRC, the stretch along
Paradise runs south to between DI and Twain, so hopefully that will be
more or less complete of the traffic mess by DLV next year.
They also tell me (the ubiquitous "they") that there are proposals or
plans to run a spur off of the Paradise section to run up along CC Drive
to service the Stardust/Circus/Riviera area. One map I saw even had this
swing south along the Strip to the Frontier and Venetian.

Hmmmm ... that's this weekend! Looks very familiar. Sixth year, even. :)
I know that doesn't directly relate to us, but it's a good example of
how another group that has traditionally had issues with acceptance has
used Las Vegas for a getaway. This thing looks more like a convention
than we are (vendor hall, paid registration) but I find the similarity
quite interesting! Thanks for passing this on.

I think most of us are in agreement that public transit, meaning city
busses and private busses shared with the general public are not
something we want to promote for use by our people. Those who do want
the experience of riding en femme will most certainly be able to do it
on their own.
Unless somebody has additional items along this line that are indeed
relevant, let's close the thread on public transit and turn our
attention to such things as scheduling and activities.

We already have a proposal of Ra on the list, plus a proposal of an
artsy show, of which BMG is one. To make an evening-long affair of these
activities, all it will really require will be for one or more people
her to "adopt" this, coordinate their efforts, and make it happen.
I would suggest that if anybody has a desire to have a multi-activity
thing like this, they volunteer and get it on the schedule before
onesey-twosey things start filling up the calendar.

Just about all of these are possibilities. All it will take is for one
of the group to adopt one or more of these and make them happen.

Let's maybe do a quick query on one of the monthly updates and see if
there would be a demand for this. We probably won't have anything close
to an accurate count on how many will want this until next spring but we
can probably get a feel of the demand.
At $45 per hour and 20 pax, that's $2 and change per person plus tip,
assuming a lot of things. Very reasonable compared to a taxi.

Ok, thanks, we'll keep this in mind. Right now it looks like the
interest is in Blue Man Group and "O".

If this is the place I'm thinking of, it opened the week after DLV. It
is supposedly on Maryland somewhere near the UNLV campus. I drove by
there trying to see what it would be, but the signs were not up at that
time.
I have no clue about any entertainment they have. Mindy? Leah? Billie?
