There was a fairly well publicized case maybe 10 years ago or so where a
lady (GG) at a sports arena had too much Galiano [sic] :) and had to go
very badly and did just that. She was arrested and charged. I forget the
exact location, but IIRC, it was down south somewhere, and in one of the
few areas that (still) has such laws on the books.

The incident made all of the t* lists at the time.

>The problems arise when some of our sisters are arrogant or just plain
>stupid!

Ignorance I can (almost) excuse.

<rant>

However, it's an unfortunate fact that a number of people in our
community are very self-centered and don't give a $#!+ about the needs
of others. These are the ones who conspicuously waltz into the nearest
ladies room after attracting attention, go in groups, stand to weewee,
loiter, play makeover, joke around and grabass, etc.

I commend the Southern Comfort organizers for standing their ground,
stating that full and equal use of the property is a make-or-break. If
we accept unequal treatment, we are validating it.

However, this is a two-way street with the rules of the road being loud
and clear. I do think some peer pressure is in order, both WRT DLV and
in the community in general, to use public restrooms discreetly and
properly.

</rant> :)

I usually see that happening (GGs in the mens room) at like Rolling
Stones concerts and similar (shows my age). They often are a bit tipsy
and always make a big deal out of shouting out as they come in that
they're "not looking" and "just gotta go". This of course means that
everybody notices them. And, yes, I do feel a twinge of discomfort in
boymode standing at the trough as they walk by to wait in line for the
stalls. It's the shoe on the other foot syndrome. That's why I have
some sense of how GGs feel if they detect CDs or t*-girls in mainstream
vanilla restrooms.

I don't pass well in the mainstream, but I've never caused a restroom
situation because I follow the basic rules about discretion and proper
etiquette that we've already discussed todeath. But, as Tootsye just
mentioned in a separate post, it is extremely helpful to find that more
remote, less crowded restroom. I have no personal qualms about entering
a larger restroom that has a few GGs in it, but my old nervous system
would never stand waiting in line for the ladies room at one of those
concerts, or sporting events ladies room lines, or theater intermission
lines, where its 50 women lined up. Someone else can have that death
wish.

Regards,

Everyone has bright up some very good ideas and prospectives on the
Bathroom Issues for sure. Let me first qualify myself as I offer a bit
of trivia on Criminal law.

For the past 32 years and still on the job I have been employed as not
only an Illinois Municipal Police Officer but currently as a Deputy
Sheriff with a Florida Sheriff's Office.

Every state has a law on the books called "DISORDERLY CONDUCT" or maybe
referred to as Breach of the Peace.

Suppose your challenged by the Police as you exit the ladies washroom.
The Police Officer most likely would issue a stern warning and probably
draft a Field Contact Form at the most. (We really do have better things
to do and in Florida we receive annual training each year about human
diversity.)

HOWEVER, let's suppose that the woman that notified the Police is the
wife of Jerry Falwell or Rush Limbaugh,or maybe one of those television
evangelists and they push the issue and prefer charges. The Police at
this point are pretty much helpless and by the way are civilly immune.

"I'll beat that in court !" you say....well we have a saying in police
work,,,,"you can beat the rap but you can't beat the ride" And after a
few very humiliating hours in jail or maybe a overnight stay with BUBBA,
you secure an attorney for about $5,000 and the judge let's you off
easy. Was it worth it ??????

My advise is this ,,,,,,Read the DLV guidelines on washroom issues and
follow them.

Honestly, the toilets are the very same kind in both bathrooms!

Most of all why risk such a small matter ruining your whole wonderful
trip.

I understand where you are coming from. But. There always a but, right.

Say, I'm dressed in fem attire and need to go to the bathroom at a DLV
function or at some other function and locatiion. I go into the men's
room (because I don't want to risk getting arrested after someone files
charges). Then in the process of coming out of the john or while
standing at the urinal (I know, you're going to ask why am I standing.

Well, from what I understand some of gals do while in the women's
bathroom.) I personally don't stand up at the urinal while in drag. I
squat like a real lady). Anyway back to what I was saying, I get
accosted by Mr. Macho "Anti-girlie man". Hum! What's it gonna be? A
night in the slammer, trial, fine or whatever else is handed down by
the judge OR a trip to the hospital (or worse, the morgue)? I don't
know about the rest of you, but I'm inclined to go with the fine and
trial. Thanks for letting me squat , I mean, squawk!

Oh, Tootsye, I'm not sure why you need to worry, sweetie! You are
among those lucky people that pass very well. If I didn' know you and I
were to see you standing in line to go into the women's bathroom, I
would think that you were in the right line. It's those (ladies) who
have trouble passing that should get in the women's bathroom (I
wouldn't recommend for them to use the men's rest room dressed in drag)
and once in there, do whatever they need to do and then get out ASAP;
and as inconspicuously as possible.

America is still hung up on it Puritan past. I wish we could be more
like western Europeans. They have no problems with this issue.

Well, there is never going to be a solution to this problem as the
number of possible scenarios is infinite which would require an
infinite number of solutions which would take an infinite amount of
paper, ink or bandwidth to display them not to mention the infinite
amount of time to read through it and hopefully find the one that
applies to one's unique situation. No need to worry about that because
by then, you've already peed your pants.

And that ain't no bull.
