Everyone has bright up some very good ideas and prospectives on the
Bathroom Issues for sure. Let me first qualify myself as I offer a bit
of trivia on Criminal law.
For the past 32 years and still on the job I have been employed as not
only an Illinois Municipal Police Officer but currently as a Deputy
Sheriff with a Florida Sheriff's Office.
Every state has a law on the books called "DISORDERLY CONDUCT" or maybe
referred to as Breach of the Peace.
Suppose your challenged by the Police as you exit the ladies washroom.
The Police Officer most likely would issue a stern warning and probably
draft a Field Contact Form at the most. (We really do have better things
to do and in Florida we receive annual training each year about human
diversity.)
HOWEVER, let's suppose that the woman that notified the Police is the
wife of Jerry Falwell or Rush Limbaugh,or maybe one of those television
evangelists and they push the issue and prefer charges. The Police at
this point are pretty much helpless and by the way are civilly immune.
"I'll beat that in court !" you say....well we have a saying in police
work,,,,"you can beat the rap but you can't beat the ride" And after a
few very humiliating hours in jail or maybe a overnight stay with BUBBA,
you secure an attorney for about $5,000 and the judge let's you off
easy. Was it worth it ??????
My advise is this ,,,,,,Read the DLV guidelines on washroom issues and
follow them.
Honestly, the toilets are the very same kind in both bathrooms!
Most of all why risk such a small matter ruining your whole wonderful
trip.
