These are the comments received on the DLV 2007 attendee survey,
with the exception of those that are related to behavior, dress,
and restroom issues. Those have been moved and will be posted in
a separate item shortly.

Only editing is for formatting and to edit out most proper names.

Your comments are most welcome.

Entries are in no particular order.
. . . . . . . . . .

Activity suggestions:

We might have a second theater night
. . . . .

I know DLV works on volunters to make it work. I feel that several
do it for ego boost and wear it like a badge along with their
attitude.
. . . . .

enjoyed meeting with Significant Others for lunch: a nice group of
women.

Would wonder if SOs would have any interest in a more formal
discussion/presentation on coping with cross-dressing partners,
how to be more positive, discussion of what has helped in the
past, etc. OR is this week too much of a "vacation" atmosphere
with no "SPICE"-like learning agenda or interest.
. . . . .

Give the address of all locations that we attend including phone
numbers.....
. . . . .

Night of the Soiled Doves has run its course and it's time to
find something to replace it with.

Limo Tour should be tightened up a bit to make more, shorter
stops. Would skip Fremont St., spend more time on the Strip.
. . . . .

the Q/A in the parlor at Soiled Doves needed moderated to prevent
one individual from controlling the whole thing...as happened

food/drinks pricey @suades, blue ox very reasonable
. . . . .

More downtown.
. . . . .

More detail on fashions dressing makeup application, how to walk
in heels for example.

Likes the wednesday dining out in the smaller places.

Ballroom dancing was great

alternative bar crawl walk the fruit loop forget the driving
around.
. . . . .

Maybe a published spreadsheet of who and where they are going to
might help others in planning the days they are going to attend.
If that doesen't make anyone uncomfortable.
. . . . .

Start things on TIME. It's my understanding that the art tour was
over an HOUR late is starting versus the printed start time. NSD
was so late in starting that it ran into rush hour traffic when
that could have been avoided had it started on time.
. . . . .

We would like to put together a pool tournament, possibly a double
elimination. There was a "pool room" on Sahara Ave. just before
"Harmony Nail Spa."
. . . . .

We need some other type of activity besides golf - which can be
too expensive &/or limiting to participate. I'd like to see a
Billiards (pool) Tournament, which is something that GG's would
be more apt to participate in, as well.

The 'ballroom dance' is very misleading - learning The Hustle
is pure disco and very outdated. 'Dance Instruction' with the
specific dance(s) planned would be better.
. . . . .

I am glad the activities were next to NAB at the end of their
convention. Rates and traffic were less intense. But if I had
known sooner that DivaLV was blocked in at the the end of NAB
I would have stayed longer. I attended NAB.
. . . . .

How about going to a real live runway type fashion show. Certainly
the malls sponsor these on occasion. Back home here they have
"trunk shows" and "luncheon shows" every so ofte. Can you look
into this please.
. . . . .

Big Sister {name} was great, Thanks. Disappointed that there wasn't
much structure, like checking-in or someone as a greater at the
events. Would have liked to contact someone on events I wasn't able
to attend, usually ran out of time or spent time with wife.
. . . . .

Keep up the good work!!!!!
. . . . .

I'D like to see the Secret Garden or the Shark Reef...added to
next year's schedule.
. . . . .

For those that always asks for convention type activities or those
that need basic necessities, ie "How to do hair, or nails, or
make-up, dress, etc ..." Try and get venues like Glamour Boutique,
Studio Lites, and Harmony Spa together and create a whole or
separate packages to get a newbie or more experienced dressed
properly with a overall price and pay-before type signup.

Coordinate this with newbies and the Big Sister Program and
safe-track events. It would benefit the local venues by giving
them business, and help the newbies really get started, without
any 'convention' added to DLV. The participants must pay in
advance and no refunds to keep the venues from losing money...and
makes the newbie having to commit or be serious about it and to
pay the cost to get it done right the first time.

This wont appeal to many, but may draw the few that are serious.
The more experienced can just use some of the package... ie hair,
nails, make-overs.
. . . . .

I felt the choices of evening shows were to price and I wish that
there had been one or two more reasonably priced options. i.e.
maybe "The Producers" would have been a good choice. Last year I
loved the "Kinsey Sicks", and sadly they were not available this
year.
. . . . .

Have heard previous years folks enjoyed a "garden party"...
trying to think of a place to hold one next year.

How about a social "game night" somewhere so folks could play
games and talk in a non-casino, non-gambling environment? Hard
to get to know people in the casino environment.
. . . . .

Keep up the good work. It is not easy to please a 'herd of cats'
but you are doing a good job.

It is improtant to have the dialog regrading all of the various
events even if it seems laborious and petty sometimes.

There needs to be a couple of new events to be intorduced to keep
the event 'fresh'. I'm thinking aout what that may be and will
let you know as I think about suggestions.

Thanks much.
. . . . .

I suggest an activity where the girls ride the roller coaster.
. . . . .

You should include First Event, which I have attended.
. . . . .

One more show might be nice, but then shows cut into the time for
other things!

I really don't know how to gamble which might be a good thing,
but we might plan an activity on how to do some of the simpler
activities?
. . . . .

have a main hotel as a staging point the st tropez would be great.

more sit down resterants
. . . . .

General comments:

wish I had more time off that week from work, to accompany {so}
places.... Still haven't gotten to the Night of the Soiled Doves
or Limo tour!
. . . . .

This was the first year that it seems difficult to see and meet
everyone. Perhaps venues that can accommdate more people at the
same time.
. . . . .

Would like to see more nighttime activities in mainstream (i.e.
Strip) locations.
. . . . .

many of the doves disappeared and did not participate in the
parlor activities. The parlor could have been used more for
social conversation only.

the buffet at suades was very pricey @$25

there is a great buffet at Palace Station Casino for $7 that is
near Sahara.. it has to be good..all the cabies go there
. . . . .

I was disappointed with the roomate responses. I feel this is
because the questions are too much by category.I was willing to
take on most anyone who wanted to share the cost, but was limited
by the groupings. non-smoke, age, etc. Ask the question just want
to save money!

Got 22 pages of directions and NO map
. . . . .

My time at DLV was very limited and I look forward to next year
when I can spend much more time. Thanks to all who attended and
helped organize. Thanks to all who are so open to talk and share
their time.
. . . . .

I felt like you were teasing me saying 150 were showing up when
there were no where near 100! Tis is deceptive!
. . . . .

The venue for the Pity Party was too loud for me.
. . . . .

My first attempt to answer the survey bombed out--SERVER error.

Hope this one works!
. . . . .

There appeared to be some discrepancies of the time schedule, such
as time listed on final mailing for departure was posted as 10:30
a.m. but actual group left at 10:00. Perhaps some leeway should be
allowed (such as maybe 10-15 minutes) to allow for girls with less
experience to give them a chance to allow for problems or mistakes.
Other than that, was a great and enjoyable experience! :)
. . . . .

My only comment is even my wife enjoyed DLV. (not sure she
expected to)
. . . . .

This was the most inclusive, friendly group of people I have ever
been around. Given my experience level, I was a bit apprehensive
but from the pre-DLV dinner at Greek Isles through to the retro
bash, the group was wonderful to be with. I can't wait to get
back and do it again!
. . . . .

two items: One, there was apparently no one in charge of the boat
tour. The location was VERY difficult to find and we almost "missed
the boat!"

Two: although $10.00 per person is no real big deal, we were lead
to believe that we would be "given" free admission passes to Studio
54 - that did not happen!
. . . . .

Lake Mead boat cruise - The hostess never showed up, and a map &
driving directions would have been most helpful, especially as
driving 'caravan style' is not a safe thing to do. We barely made
it to the dock on time, which was made a bit more complicated
because they had also moved to a new site and the road signs were
wrong!

Studio 54 - This should have been listed that it "may" (or does)
cost $10 for entrance, so those that are on a limited budget may
plan accordingly. The fee is reasonable, IMHO, but some complained
because they thought it would be a 'free' event. Also, the Hostess
should have been waiting at the entrance with those 'line passes'
for those that had signed up for them. We didn't see her until we
were in the club.

Better yet, she should have had those passes available at all the
Check-In sites (when the name tags were received) for those who
had requested the passes.

I believe the DLV should be just a bit more structured, but
overall I had no real problems - just minor 'disturbances' as
outlined above.

I enjoyed meeting other GG's and CD's, and found everyone to be
very pleasant. We learned from each other, and it was all very
constructive and positive.

I'm looking forward to next year's DLV!
. . . . .

One thing that can be done, cut down on the amount of bottles in
each Limo, it's not a drunk fest, getting in and out of the limo's
is tricky enough.
. . . . .

My mother lives in the area and we were both invited and welcomed
at places we attended. Thank you for having us and we both look
forward to seeing all of the ladies next year. My mother being a
product of the 50's we so impressed with all of the ladies and
enjoyed the education and felt that it made her ideas of people
more expanded.
. . . . .

I had a wonderful time, and enjoyed meeting with new people. I
missed some of the regulars that couldn't make it this year, so
it gave me the chance to meet some new participants. I like the
freedom of the schedule that allows you to pick and choose the
activities and that there is no registration fee.
. . . . .

This is my third Diva. First, I tried to do to much and signed up
for much more than this old body could handle! Sincerly sorry.
Also, past years I hung around with those I knew who weren't able
to make it. This allowed me to get to know others and found it
very rewarding and gained some great friends!

I realize that I'm stuck in a rut, doing the same things each year.
I need to try a new restaurant on Weds, try the Pitty Party on
Thurs and do different thigns. Thanks again for the best girl time
you can ever think of!
. . . . .

enjoyed meeting new girls
. . . . .

Thanks for a time to dress, socialize, party, express myself, and
learn. All of these are of significant and equal value to me and
why I continue to come to Diva. I look forword to attending and
that is the reason I do volunteer for a couple of events.

Thanks to all... everyone is special in my opinion.
. . . . .

Two of us stayed with a frind in the local vacinity. This option
was not listed in the choices.
. . . . .

monday nights meal was with the bigest rip of ever i got my money
back
. . . . .

In the question about the Big Sister program, I volunteered to
participate as a big sister but was never assigned a little sister,
so none of the responses to that question applied to my situation.
. . . . .

At the last minute I became ill with a cold and sore throat, and
I had to cancell my plans to attend DLV 07. I'm filling out this
survey only so I remain in the loop for next year. Thanks!
. . . . .

I'm a local who attended Suede but due to a prior committment, did
not eat anything there.

I had a standing appointment (somewhat nearby) from 8 to 9pm, so
I was able to visit with others at Suede before and after, and
while I was there, others were eating, but I did not, not even a
crumb.

I declined to eat at Suede because of both the price and the
time-conflict. I have eaten there before with no problems, both
with DLV and on other occasions.

A true concern about food poisoning should be addressed to the
health department, they would investigate and run the appropriate
bacteriological tests, etc.

That's my $0.02.
. . . . .

I will try to take more time off work next year so I can attend
more events and be more supportive of my spouse.
. . . . .

I thought the organizers did a fabulous job. Aiko, excellent job!
. . . . .

The year before it was just before the NAB convention and just
after this year. I prefer before.
. . . . .

In my experience the dlv attendees were to clicky. It was nice to
be with the people that I already knew. But I didn't make many new
friends and I usually don't have that problem. Maybe next year.
As someone who lives in Vegas, It's nice to see so many girls in
town that week. Although this was my first year registering for
dlv, I did make a few good friends last year with attendees.
. . . . .

Dinner at Elvis' on Saturday night: They didn't plan to handle
such a large group. Should consider another location for next year.
. . . . . . . . . .

Comments? Thoughts?
