>Activity suggestions:

I would like that. Are your referring to production shows or motion
pictures?

>I know DLV works on volunters to make it work. I feel that several

I don't know about that. Volunteering and putting something together
isn't easy. I am a volunteer and member of a local business
association. I don't do it to boost my ego. But it does boost my
confidence and self esteem knowing that I did something good for
others. There's no feeling like it in the world.

I don't have an SO. But I really would caution against come kind of
"heavy" workshops. We're a vacation, not a convention.

>Night of the Soiled Doves has run its course and it's time to

I like night of the Soiled Doves. I would like to see more limo options,
and a return to the poolside buffet dinners of yesteryear.

>Limo Tour should be tightened up a bit to make more, shorter
>stops. Would skip Fremont St., spend more time on the Strip.

I would skip Fremont Street, and have more time at each stop on the Strip.

>food/drinks pricey @suades, blue ox very reasonable

I would agree.

>Likes the wednesday dining out in the smaller places.

I did too.

>alternative bar crawl walk the fruit loop forget the driving

Don't drink and drive.

>Maybe a published spreadsheet of who and where they are going to

>If that doesen't make anyone uncomfortable.

It's a thought. But then again people change plans in midstream. DLV is
about having fun, not trying to bind ourselves.

>Start things on TIME. It's my understanding that the art tour was
>over an HOUR late is starting versus the printed start time. NSD

I think there is always room for improvement in that area. Let's on timing
and logistics more. Learn from our past experiences.

>The 'ballroom dance' is very misleading - learning The Hustle

I know someone who I think can help us. Feel free to email me about it off
list.

I believe the Fashion Show Mall has runway shows several days a week.

Thank you!!!!!

Volunteers?

>For those that always asks for convention type activities or those

I'm considering these things. Keep the ideas coming. Bear in mind that
it is often hard to get people to prepay. I'll work with my contacts on
that.

Let's be careful about that. People often do change their minds, and
money issues are a great way to ruin business relationships or
friendships.

I'm working on "A Wynn-ing Experience". this is projected to be a
complete evening of great entertainment and dining at Wynn Las Vegas.
Dinner at the Buffet at Wynn, and then Spamalot the show. Dinner is
$33.95+ tax and tip. Spamalot tickets range from $49 to $99. Unisex
restrooms available next to the box office.

>How about a social "game night" somewhere so folks could play

I know someone who could probably help. I'll have to talk to him about
it.

>Keep up the good work. It is not easy to please a 'herd of cats'

Thank you again!

Absolutely. Great discussion and polite argument make better people.

Tell us please, and VOLUNTEER! Be not only thinkers, but doers.

>Thanks much.

You're welcome.

>I suggest an activity where the girls ride the roller coaster.

The Manhattan Express at New York New York, the Canyon Blaster at Circus
Circus, Speed, the ride at the Sahara, or the Desperado at Primm. Why
not the Big Shot at the Straosphere. What's to be afraid of. But I
don't have good answer on whether hairpieces would survive the trip.

p.s. I'm afraid of heights, maybe I'll come along and watch. Again,
Volunteers?

>You should include First Event, which I have attended.

How would we do that?

One more show probably would be nice. Would it cut into other things? I
think it would simply be another option. The choice is yours. Again,
Volunteers? (sigh)

>I really don't know how to gamble which might be a good thing,

Please clarify, and Volunteer!

>have a main hotel as a staging point the st tropez would be great.

Staging for what?

>more sit down resterants

I considered the Prime Rib Loft dinner to be a resounding success. Need
information about great restaurants? Feel free to email me on or off
list.

And please volunteer and put a dinner together. There's plenty of room.
I can give guidance in that matter.

>This was the first year that it seems difficult to see and meet

What kinds of activites are you considering that offer service for
groups of 100 or more?

We've considered that through the years. I have a friend who has a large
ballroom. We can plan something there. However I don't want to see us
go to the "rubber chicken banquet" scene. By the way I cant take credit
for the quote.

>Would like to see more nighttime activities in mainstream (i.e.

Like what? And VOLUNTEER!!!!

>many of the doves disappeared and did not participate in the

Perhaps it's time to return to poolside dinners.

>there is a great buffet at Palace Station Casino for $7 that is
>near Sahara.. it has to be good..all the cabies go there

It has been rmodeled with an improved menu. If you go during lunch hour
I know a really good server there. She would take very good care of us.

Structured? What do you mean?

Do come back, and Volunteer!

>One thing that can be done, cut down on the amount of bottles in

Agreed, and lets have soft drinks for those of us who do not consume
alcohol. Better yet, bring $7 and have some really great hot chocolate
at the Drugstore gift shop at Wynn.

It's OK, just have a good time. this is supposed to be fun, not hard
work.

It is true that DLV tends to be clicky. That s normal. People generally
want to spend time with old friends. But as we grow, I'm sure the ice
will break more easily.

Why not volunteer to put on an event. I put on a dinner and everyone there
was people that I didn't know before. It works.

>Dinner at Elvis' on Saturday night: They didn't plan to handle
>such a large group. Should consider another location for next year.

I agree. Any volunteers. I can try to help with restaurant suggestions.
Need your comments on this. Look for places that have a track record for
great food and service, especially for large groups. A large group
should be a motivator for exceptional food and service. Do you want a
loud party or a conversational dinner. Do we have to have only one
farewell event?

I wasn't too happy with Elvis. the only thing that saved my night was
having two friends show up out of the blue and I ate dinner with them.
Music was too loud. Elvis is a place I would wear a tshirt and blue
jeans and no makeup, but not for a dress up event. But even then there
are many other places I would go in a tshirt and jeans and no makeup
(and PUMPS). Their food is OK on off nights, but for great Italian
food, I like Arriva at the Gold Coast, Sazio at the Orleans, or Chicago
Joes downtown(very small venue, limited parking).

btw in the Elvis group picture im the one in the red top, and the black
skirt, and the red peep toe sandals.

Now a suggestion of my own. Could we have an award for who wears the
cutest shoes. I think I would win hands, or is it feet, down.

Sincerely, Joan here in Las Vegas, sun coming up, and not yet hot.
