Where things stand:

This mailing was somewhat delayed in order to let a few things get
settled. We'll (try to) get back to the usual schedule next week.

The big news this week is that we broke the coveted 100 mark! It's still
too early for any kind of final projection, however. Registrations come
in spurts, but have been averaging about one per day this week.

Thanks to all who have volunteered! We're moving along nicely and have
most of our bases covered. There are, however, some needs which we will
discuss in the schedule review below.

All, please look over the revised schedule very closely. Again, many
additions and changes have been made since the last mailing.

We've had some email delays and failures sending to various addresses in
the aol.com, aim.com, and cs.com domains. We've resent (with success)
those that could be identified, but if you use any of those domains, it
might be good to check the list archives (below) to be sure you're not
missing anything.

We also had one report of a registration issue, issues when associating
a registration with a MyDLV account. This has been corrected.

Yes, Tuesday would be fine for something like this.

Have you thought of any theme or entertainment? Costume contest?
Self-produced show? Fashion show?

I know that Vera was thinking about some kind of drag show. Maybe this
can be incorporated as a win-win.

If a Dr. Victoria session can be arranged, that would be super and be a
draw in itself.

Activity Highlights and opening night:

Isn't it about time that we posted the why, when and how's description
of individual events in MY DLV Discussion? We have 8+ weeks to go and
if people are like me they like to know what they are getting into when
planning a vacation.with regards to which events they would like to
attend and which to avoid.

If we are going to post the event guidelines please feel free to just
re-post the coffee gathering description which I sent in last year. I
have nothing new to add to it.

A suggestion for opening night.

Have each hostess and their assistant hostesses if you like come up to
the stage area where all can see who will be the contact person at a
specific event. The reason why I say this is because sitting in the
center of the room and just standing up and waving is not nearly as
effective as facing everyone.

Maybe a few will not want to do this but we could easily find that out
by asking the org in general ahead of time.

All I have to do now is get on a plane then step off a plane and I am
there.

Yes, it's time we get crackin' on Activity Highlights.

We do have one already in queue but we're waiting for confirmation that
it was intended to be posted as an Activity Highlight. (Anyone's ears
burning?) :) :) :)

We'll repost last year's Activity Highlight in your name again to start
off the Activity Highlights for this year.

We'll also announce the Activity Highlights in the general mailing
scheduled for next Saturday.

Dionne is in charge of the Welcome Celebration (Dionne, you takin'
notes?) so it will really be up to her if we do the activity
introductions or not, but I (Annie) think it's an idea that it well
worth doing. As you say, some may not want to do it, but I think quite a
few would be willing.
