Mid-cycle mailing:
This is a quick but critical mid-cycle mailing asking for some critical
missing information and doing one final call for volunteers for one
major hole in our schedule.
THIS IS LAST CALL FOR ANY ACTIVITY NEEDING A SIGN-UP!
We need to get activity sign-up started within the next few days. Our
drop dead date is Thursday, March 10.
Everybody, please help us get this ready to roll out on time! Thanks

Assuming we have enough information in, we'll plan to test the sign-up
mailings with a preliminary mailing to volunteers on Tuesday, March 8.
You can expect a sign-up mailing on Tuesday, but please don't have a cow
if it does not reach you, as if there's still critical missing info, we
can't send it.
When you get it, please consider it to be "for real" and please sign up
for optional activities and report any issues promptly so we can get
them corrected prior to the general roll-out on Thursday.

As of this writing, we're down to 161 as a validated headcount. "Down
to" is due to the fact that two blatantly frivolous registrations were
discovered and removed. Of these, 130 are expected to actually show.
With registrations coming in regularly, unless something totally
unexpected happens, we will easily surpass last year's turnout total.
This number includes 42 new attendees, and the Magic Machine says that
28 of the newcomers will actually show.
These show-up numbers come from using the fall-out "fudge factors" that
have been typical in recent years, and adjusted for last year's higher
than expected fall-out.
SO count is now up to 25.

Critical needs:

Team, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We owe our attendees, particularly those who are staying over at higher
room rates, something more than "Free Time" on Saturday!
We're now at a drop-dead cut-off for any activity which needs any kind
of headcount or sign-up, so anything added after early this coming week
needs to be "no sign-up, just show up" in nature.
We're critically in need of the following:
1. Daytime activities of any type on Saturday afternoon. Plans were to
do Saturday downtown, but nobody appears to be jumping on that
bandwagon.
Shopping activities, touristy things, even a side trip. We've suggested
in the past the Mob Museum, Neon Museum, and Container Park. Those are
still up for grabs.
2. Saturday evening dining options. We planned to do this downtown and
have one option tentatively planned. However, anything, anywhere is much
better than one option that cannot handle the demand! This (Saturday
evening dining) is our most critical need and if there is to need a
sign-up, this needs to be solid as to location by Tuesday!
Please consider taking one of the above. Our people, particularly those
who are new and not that experienced, will appreciate it.
