Tuesday and Activity sign-up:

We're asking all to please read this mailing carefully and to
respond promptly if your "name is called."

Two big high-priority jobs this next week, which are somewhat
related.

First and foremost is to round out the Tuesday evening schedule!
See item below.

Our other big job this next week or so is activity sign-up, and
we're asking the help of all to get this double-checked and ready
to roll out during the first few days of April. (No, Densie, it
looks like it will not launch April 1, but April 2.) :)

This means that every activity that needs any kind of a headcount,
sign-up, hoop-jump, etc., is solid as to day, time, and any major
details by Saturday, March 31. That's a week from this Saturday!

It's very easy to add or change details on activities which need
a sign-up prior to this date. After March 31 it's effectively
impossible!

Any activity which is planned (or significantly changed) after
activity sign-up goes out will need to be on a "No sign-up, just
show-up" basis.

For the next week or so we'll be concentrating on filling in the
blanks and checking details.

To help test, we'll be sending out a test batch of activity
sign-up mailings to the members of the ORG list toward the middle
of next week.

Latest numbers:

As of Wednesday morning our total sign-up count stands at 181. We
are seeing about one new registration per day. 53 newcomers so far
this year, more than we had in this stage of the cycle last year.

We do have a very good showing from last year's newcomers as this
year's first-time returnees!

So Tuesday's events is the new target....

I will volunteer to head up an activity for the evening--- [Diva Mystery
Evening] provided I have a volunteer who will assist me on the
Tuesday evening of the event.

We will do something fun and unique.... trust me if you dare, dare not,
then you this is not the event for you.

It will be limited to 16 people [4 drivers required or cab /per 4]. Each
attendee will be required to pay no more than $45.00 for this event
[drinks and cab additional].

You will not know what the activity will be,,,,, if you know, then no
_*mystery*_!!!

JoAnn will be the greeter and "away we go"....

Schedule weak spots:

Tuesday evening is our primary weak spot and it does need at
least a couple of volunteers to help round it out.

Please consider:

Letting this one slide will result in a number of our people,
particularly newcomers and those who have not established a
circle of friends, with nothing to do! We don't want to see
that happen!!

As of this mailing, we're still in need of someone to take over
for what was originally planned as the Namaste option for eating
Out Night on Tuesday.

Bob - Gabi - Sabrina, can we please work for a win-win here?

It's a shame that the instigator of an activity gets locked out of
it.

A hike should be very "portable" as to day and timeslot. Almost
any morning/afternoon will work very well for this. Please discuss
amongst yourselves (if you need any contact info, please write in)
and let's settle on a timeslot which works for all. Thanks.

You ended up as the hostess for the Mainstream Common Gathering
simply due to the fact that you have the dinner. As I (think I)
said, if you don't want to take it, I'll take over and be the
official contact of record if you want to split.

For Sunday evening, our strategy is to keep our people together
at least to some extent and to focus them to two venues, one which
is unquestionably Mainstream With A Capital "M" and another which
is very "safe" for newcomers and those who don't feel comfortable
in hardcore mainstream.

The venues for the dining options need to be solid as of this
coming week, but if you think that a venue other than Margaritaville
would be better for a Mainstream Common Gathering, that can be
adjusted at any time.

Possible confusion on last week's sign-up info:

We had one response and one off-line inquiry indicating that there
may be some confusion on the requested sign-ups for various dinners
which have a prior happy hour.

Possible confusion here, and you're not the only one to report it.

The Marrakech DINNER is set for sign-up requested:

It's the Happy Hour only, which does appear as a separate line on
the schedule, which is no-sign-up-just-show-up.

If you want the dinner changed from "sign-up requested" to "sign
up required", just let us know.

Neon Museum:

Hi,I just wanted to clarify the signup for the Neon Museum. Since they
have their own tour signup, those who want to attend need to sign up
with the Museum first to reserve and pay for your spot. All payment is
now in advance ($15) with no option to pay at will call.

When that is done, then hit the signup for DLV so I can look for our
folks.

Although there were some people who just showed up at the Neon Museum
last year and got in on a tour, I can't guarentee they will be able get
