Moving along quite well:

Thanks to all who have volunteered to host(ess) activities for this
year's DLV! Our schedule is getting close to where we want it. If
you have plans to coordinate an activity and have not picked out a
timeslot, now is the time to do so.

Those who are not currently signed up to coordinate something,
please consider helping out in the various weak spots listed below.

Just a thought ---- "...out there a bit.."

There is the new Las Vegas Center for Performing Arts [$273m project]
opening in March.

Is there someone who would consider reviewing the April Event's Schedule
and coordinating an activity at this new site as an alternate to a Vegas
"on-the-strip" show ?

Sunday is our designated "slow start" day. Sunday is looking close
to solid. If somebody wants to do another HH and dinner Sunday, it
won't hurt.

Tuesday evening is one of our weaker spots.

Tuesday after dinner could use some filling out. Show, something

Nobody seems to be jumping up and down and waving arms in the
air trying to organize a second-track option against EHM. If
nobody does, it's NBD, since EHM can indeed hold quite a few.

Something social after EHM would be nice.

Thursday, April 26:

     7:00pm: Dinner (Trevi) - ms
     9:30pm: Limousine Tour (Caesars) - ms

Even though they say Trevi can hold up to 60, the Limo Tour has a
hard limit.

We need something else after dinner Thursday. A moderately-priced
show would be a good fit.

Another dining option would also be appropriate here.

Hi.,

I volunteered twice already to assist as a Hostess for the opener
and noticed my name is not listed here. I am still available to do
that but if I am not needed then please let me know so I can arrive
with the rest of the gang at 8pm instead of 1 hour earlier to help
set things up.

Volunteer list has been adjusted. Yes, you will be needed, and we
will need a couple others standing by as greeters as well.

Remember that for our activities, there's really no setting up
to do, so as long as you're there at or slightly before the posted
start time it will be fine.

Alanna, thanks so much for reaching out regarding last year's
photography.

I know Diana is interested in doing this again. While I don't know
the layout of the smaller room, I would like to be able to guarantee
that she could have a small space to set up regardless of which room
we end up in. I would hate for her make the effort to come out to
Vegas only to be shut out at the last minute.

Please let me know your thoughts and I will pass the info along to
Diana and confirm whether she will be attending.

Annie responds:

Unfortunately, as was the case last year, we won't know if we will
have the larger room until very close to the activity time. For
both 2010 and 2011, I arrived at BB expecting to be shown to the
smaller room to the right. I was pleasantly surprised both times
when I was shown to the larger room to the left. As Alanna said,
it's quite possible that we'll get the larger room, but it's not
certain and may not be known until we arrive.

What I might suggest is that Diana consider doing her thing at
the opening gathering on Monday evening, either in addition to
or instead of Friday. From some off-line correspondence, there
will be a reserved area just for our group as well as the general
public area, so space should not be an issue.

We can get Diana and Cami (lead for the Welcome Celebration)
in contact with each other if she wants to consider this.

Hey Joann, this Laura T. I am finalizing Trevi. Got beat out by another
group at our usual place on the second floor. They the entire floor 150
people. Making reservations for area on the first floor, right below the
second floor, by the bar. They say it can handle up to 60 people. About
right for us. What do think?
