This is the DLV 2011 Organizational Mailing List (dlvorg@geekbabe.com)

Things to come:
We're now approaching our "slow season" and we have a number of
housekeeping type items to do before we get into the busy work
of planning our event in 2011.
Among the items we'll be doing over the next few months will
be:
1. Final summarizing, rehashing, analyzing, recapping of our
2011 event. That's our primary job now. Please keep those
cards and letters coming. :)
2. Cleaning up of our ORG list membership. We want to remove
those who are no longer active or interested in helping out
with DLV. See notice on this below.
3. Assembling our DLV 2012 ORG group. We'll be adding the new
volunteers' names toward the beginning of June and sending out
introductory items.
4. Election of our "odd year" representative to our Administrative
Committee. Kimberly's term expires this year. We'll do this when
the new volunteers are added since some of them are eligible
to hold this position.

ORG list clean-up:
One of our yearly housekeeping items is to go over the list of
those in the ORG group, remove inactive members, and, of course,
add the new volunteers from this year's event.
Our practice is to retain those who fall into the following
two categories:
1. You coordinated or assisted with a DLV activity for DLV 2010
and/or DLV 2011.
2. You filled out a volunteer information form this year, either
at the end of the follow-up survey, or in response to one of our
Call For Volunteers mailings.
Please look over the following two lists.
The first list is those we have on record as coordinating or
assisting with a successful DLV activity during DLV 2010 and/or
DLV 2011. Those on this list will remain on the DLV 2012 ORG
list unless they specify otherwise.

Fremont Street Experience:
Delaney writes:
Just for completeness sake, no one showed for Fremont. As you
recall, I left dinner at Milano's early and did arrive at Bettys
just before eight, but no one was there. I ran my food up to the
room and came back down (figure seven or eight minutes) but no
stragglers came in.
I'm not complaining, but I will probably look at sponsoring either
the Effiel or V next year - Fremont was a washout.

Did you actually go down to FSE and hang out?
The reason I'm asking is that I clearly remember some saying
that they were going down there and had gone down there.
I remember one at the Buffalo Happy Hour (but I don't think
at Milano's) saying she was going there in particular.
Let's hold the count until the survey results come in. You may
be surprised. :)

Glamour Boutique and such:

Glamour boutique had a very good turn out.
I think about 25 trans women from out group attended throughout
the day.
I was there from 11:00 am which was opening to about 2. Amy and her
mom where there later. Her mom was sweet.
Several complete glamour make overs were done and/or scheduled
that day.
Amy had her famous amazing chile for all of us to eat.
Water damage to her store left us in a more cramped space but the
sprit there that day was great.
I loved being a volunteer.
Highlights of the week for me were having a little sister, Bare
minerals and mac makeovers, Opening at the Artisan, the high tea
probably my all time favorite, and the closing dinner at the Bahama
Breeze.
