How about this. Let's start a thread on the Discussion Forum on
this topic, asking drivers to volunteer with the number of free
seats they have and those who need a ride saying so. On MyDLV
we'll mark it "sticky" so it stays at the top for now.
I'll take the liberty of posting Courtney's note there to start
things going.
We might also consider this for the EHM on Tuesday, since they
have said that parking is somewhat limited.

As group photo is scheduled for 8:30pm, it will most likely be
getting dark outside and the interior lighting is dimmed after
5:00ish so I don't really know what to tell you. I'm not much
of an expert on photography. About all I can tell you is 35mm
high speed film might handle it, or a digital 12mb may pick up
all of us. I think you're just going to have to come over early
and nose around for a suitable location, or find someone here
who knows something about photography. Sorry to tell you that
I don't. Wish I could be more help.

I'm not really concerned about light. Light can be added up to
the point it may appear to be an atomic blast from the point
of view of those posing.
I'm far more concerned about a location which is attractive and
where we can get close to 100 people assembled. I saw some of
the photos on the Artisan web site, and I do like the looks of
their decor. If we could find a place where we can get close to
100 people in a 100-110 degree angle from as little as 20-25'
or so back, it will work.
I envision an outside shot as do-able if there simply are no
inside settings that are appropriate.
We've done group shots at night in the past with good results,
such as:

As for the location of Betty's Cyber Cafe, it is the easiest
place in the world to find, we met there last year for several
events. From anywhere in the Imperial Palace, simply walk to
the east rear entrance - all the way to the back of the casino.
You'll find yourself walking through their little shopping mall
with all the souveniers and glitz, and just before you get to
the elevator mezzinine and parking garage access, Betty's Cyber
Cafe is going to reach out and grab you by your grannies and
say: "hey, here I am !! right here on your right". If that
doesn't work just ask any of the helpful personnel standing
around waiting to sell you something and they'll point you in
the right direction.

I received a note from Dr. Austin of the Erotic Heritage Museum
today. She said they have received calls from a few male admirers
asking if they could attend the DLV event. The staff indicated
that it is a private event and has asked if all those who attend
would please bring the DLV name badge they get when they sign in.
This will make the museum staff more comfortable and corresponds
with standing DLV policies anyway.
I believe there may be the option of signing in at the museum if
it is your first event, but Annie, JoAnn or someone from that crew
will have to make that call.
I will have a copy of the signup list that is current from Sunday
morning, April 3rd and will use that to make sure only those who
signed up will be admitted to the museum.

Well, it looks like the word is out. :) :)
As I noted on the Discussion Forum, I've added EHM to the list
of activities where check-in is available. I've also added a
note to this effect in the main schedule, plus a reminder to
bring the DLV name badge.
The sign-up list may not be accurate as far as who shows up from
our group. Our sign-up screen says "Sign-up is requested but not
required", so some of our people will be there without being on
the list and others on the list will not be there. The DLV name
badge (or lack of same) will identify if there are any who appear
to be "crashers" present.
You might "heads up" the EHM staff that there will be some men
present with our group, but all will be well-behaved. As I look
over the sign-ups for EHM I do see one guy who has self-identified
as an admirer in the past. I hope he and other men who are
legitimately registered with our group will feel welcome.
Reading between the lines, I think that everyone is on the same
page WRT the type we don't want, those being the unregistered
HNG types (look it up - hint: Urban Dictionary) who come on
like a Mack truck and otherwise do not know how to behave.
