Again, nothing earthshaking. Mostly a few follow-up items.
Major items in this mailing are the Artisan parking update and
another request to proof-read the revised detailed schedule.

>From this point on, we're pretty much on "autopilot" until DLV
happens. We're very limited as to what changes, if any, we can
make to any activities.
When we finalized the sign-up screen, it was a "lock in" on the
dates, times, prices, terms, and conditions of the activities
on it. That is a done deal.
Anyway, everybody's done an absolutely great job here, and if
there are any shortcomings, we'll need to go with the flow and
make the best of it.
Our energy over the next two weeks needs to be focused on the
final details, and being prepared should anything happen.

Any further thoughts about the Pre-DLV gathering on Saturday
the 2nd? No, if you suggest something, you're not gonna get
jumped on to do any "real work", we just need to agree upon
a place to meet for a few hours. :)

As of this morning, just after the current batch of activity
sign-up mailings went out, here's the status:
Reconfirmed : 131
Registered : 0
First notice : 11
Second notice : 4
Canc. pending : 40
This means that we have a total of 55 sign-ups outstanding.
If history holds, 20-some of these will eventually respond but
30-some will fall off as default cancellations.
Speaking of which ...
We still have a number of volunteers who have not made their
activity sign-ups! If you're still on track to be with us,
please get these in. Several volunteers are now in a "cancel
pending" state for non-response.
If you're not going to be with us ...
Please, if you're not going to make it and are getting those
nag-o-grams, either cancel on the web or send us a note to
cancel you. If you've already sent in a "cancel" note and still
get these, it's an oversight, please resend or remind. Please
don't let your registration go to a "cancel by default" state
for non-response which is a "derog" in the records!

And Annie has kept us paying attention to those details.
At the same time, all of you Volunteers have been reading these e-mails
and your comments have been most helpful for us to address those details
so we could "fill in the gaps".
This has greatly minimize problems down the line*.
As we arrive in Las Vegas, let it be known that there still can be
issues with the schedule.
Step back... don't respond too quickly. Let the issues be clearly
defined before taking any actions.
Diva Week is like a Wedding.... there is always something that goes
wrong, just most of those attending have no clue.

I have just come from Artisan and had a talk with Jamaal and
Cliff and Tony of the parking staff, they have assured me that
there will be NO problem with accomidating each and every one
of us with Valet Parking at our event.
Plus, they have stated that there is ample room for us all, and
there is a self-park lot available as well. We won't have to park
anywhere else other than Artisan. Management has given their
assurance of this.

The availability of self-park is good news! I'm assuming this
is limited. Let's change the parking instructions for the
Artisan to "Valet suggested, self-park available", which should
cover all of the bases.
I think this is one roadblock successfully cleared. The other
is the difficulty getting there which I think we can address
with explicit directions in the Large Final Mailing.

that Holli Neal is the coordinator of the PT's HH, dinner and
mainstream gathering on Sunday. I am assisting her. She will
assist me at the Spotlight Lounge at Wednesday night's. I will
be flying solo as the hostess at Wednesday night's dinner at
Namaste. Holli has chosen a different dining option that night
(she's not a fan of Indian food).

However, please keep in mind that this is a "sign-up requested
for headcount" which is rough, and remember the propensity of
our people to exhibit a higher fall-out rate as the week goes
on. The machine says that out of those 48, 36.4 will show, and
these figures are usually within 10% of the real-world count.
Of course you can aggressively promote this and bump up the
numbers. :)

this. Although you currently have 27 signed up, there are a
number of cold newbees in there and the machine-predicted
turnout is 21.1. I'm sure that the final show-up count will

Chris Peterson has been performing his "Icons" Show at the Onyx
Theater in commercial center for the past few months.
Originally the show was to run until the end of January but has
been partially extended. He now appears on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Unfortunately the only time he is scheduled during Diva Week is
on Sunday April 3. at 5 PM
He is amazing. I have seen his show three times. He does
impersonations of many of the Female stars of the past and present.
He does not lip sinc, using his own voice. .
The show is extremely reasonable priced at 25 dollars. It runs
for 1 1/2 hours but may conflict with the some of the dinner
schedules. It would fit in nicely with PT's however.

I don't know what to say about this one.
It's far too late to do any kind of a sign-up, even for a rough
headcount. The only thing we could do is throw it in with a
no-sign-up-just-show-up notice. This activity would be prior to
most of the attendees having any contact with the group, so I
doubt if many newbees would show.
