JoAnn Sez:
We are coming to the "close down/ [or] wrap-up" of the schedule in
three weeks.
As we advance forward to that date the details need to get finalized.
As I often say "in my Project Management day job", the Devil is in the
details, and this is even more so as we conclude the Diva Schedule.
So be sure to read this and the next four mailings to be sent by Annie
because these e-mails are cycling through quickly and really need your
attention .... as to..... time, day, and any particular requirements
you see needed for your activity.
Keep up the dialogs and energy.... Thanks. JoAnn

Various updates:
This mailing includes ORG items which have come in up through
Friday morning.
. . . . .
If anyone is acquainted with a Tiffany Michael from northern
California, her e-mail is bouncing and we have no means of
contact. Registered last Thursday. No report of non-receipt
of a confirmation e-mail.
If anyone is in contact, please ask her to give us a working
e-mail address.
. . . . .
Our general mailing list just broke 1000 members!
Jackie Stone is our 1000th list member, not counting a few
test and QA entries. List now stands at 1008.
It's been approaching the 1000 mark for a few weeks, but
after the general mailings, the undeliverables and the
unsubscribes kept it down.
. . . . .
Again, BIG THANKS to the volunteers who have recently agreed
to take things on. Our schedule is filling up nicely. As you
can see, it's fuller than it was in the last mailing. We'll
do another weak spot analysis this coming week. Meanwhile,
please keep those cards and letters coming! :)
. . . . .
HEADS UP! Activity sign-up begins Monday, March 7, which is
just three weeks away. Any activity which needs a sign-up or
a headcount needs to be solid by the weekend of March 5-6.
This is a hard-stop drop-dead cutoff! Anything scheduled after
that will need to be on a no-sign-up-just-show-up basis. What
we need, at minimum, for activity sign-up is for the day and
time to be solid, and the price, if applicable, to be known.
We'll also need to know what type of sign-up you want (just
for a headcount, sign-up requested, sign-up required or pre-
payment required) and any additional action that attendees
need to take, such as a ticket purchase.
. . . . .
If anyone is still waiting for any e-mail exchange info, please
write in and let us know. No, nobody's being snubbed, but with
the recent rush of things, somebody may have been overlooked.
. . . . .
Ditto for Limo Tour volunteers: No, you're not being snubbed! :)
The mailing list for the Limo Tour will start during this next
cycle on the ORG list.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Circling back:
We have a few entries on our "defecate or abdicate" list here
which we want to clear up. If your "name is called", a timely
response, even if "hold on, I'm still thinking about it" or
something like that, will be appreciated.
We really haven't had to do a full-blown "Laundry List" this
year, as the level of follow-through has been great!
We need to know if these are happening, or if we need to take
them off all of the "maybe" lists here.
. . . . . . . . . .
Marisa? Volunteer recruiting party? Any further thoughts?
Bob? Susan? SO or SO/partners gathering? Go? No-go?
Pity Party Fans, any and all? Mindy will not be with us and
Susan has relinquished her "second refusal rights", if there
even is such a thing. If the Pity Party is to happen this year,
the foundation needs to be laid within the next couple of weeks!
Vanessa? Pistol/Rifle shooting? Any updates? (You said you would
know in 2-3 weeks, and ...) :)
Norma? Harmony Nail Spa? You have "first refusal rights" to be
the go-between on this one. Any decision?
Sin City Prom? Last call! Going twice ... Prom fans?

Mainstream on Sunday:
Crystal writes (slight edit):
Hi.
On Sunday, April 3rd, Holli Neal and I are willing to host a
mainstream after dinner option at PT's Place located at 532
East Sahara. Please let me know if this option is approved.
I just want to clarify, that the PT's Place after dinner option
on Sunday, April 3rd will be hosted by Holli Neal. I will assist.
I don't want to steal a gal-pal's thunder, if you know what I mean.
. . . . . . . . . .
Thanks Crystal and Holli! Approved and appreciated. :)
We'll note Holli as the primary and Crystal assisting.
Now --- and this is strictly voluntary, but it would really
help round things out and get JoAnn and I off of everyone's
case. :)
Would you and/or Holli (or anybody, just yell if you want to)
be willing go go there a little earlier so we could have a HH
and dining activity there? We would very much appreciate it.
No busy work, just be there to welcome the people who drop in.
This would give us another more reasonable and "safer" dining
option for Sunday.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Horse Rescue rendezvous:
Rosada writes:
>As for a rendezvous point, I really can't think of anything
>better than Cynthia's planned rendezvous point of Betty's
>Cyber Cafe in the Imperial Palace.
Okay, Betty's Cyber Cafe it is. That was easy! We'll need to
see who 's all going and see who needs a ride. Who's willing
to transport people? We can accommodate three people in the
back seat of the truck.
. . . . . . . . . .
Thanks Rosada. :)
I (Annie) am planning to attend, but I'm not planning to rent
a car this year, so I can't help out driving. It's probably
best to just coordinate who drives and who rides in real time
when those who want to go are assembled.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Margaritaville:
Sabrina writes (quoted):
>Considering Sunday dinning options, has anyone given any
>thought to Margaritaville in the Flamingo?
Yes.
I was considering using Margaritaville as the "mainstream"
common gathering if I was to coordinate that one, not for
dinner but for drinks and such after.
>They have three floors, and its a moderate priced choice. I
>will be in Vegas this weekend and will be there on Friday night.
>I could ask if they would have any problem with a group like
>ours. If they are willing to accommodate us I could perhaps get
>some particulars on any prerequisites?
We definitely need some more dining options on Sunday. Thanks.
I think that Margaritaville would be an excellent choice for
a Sunday dining option. It's a festive atmosphere and it's
reasonable in price.
It's really up to you whether or not you check with the staff
to see if our group will be welcome, but I don't think it is
necessary. I've been there off and on, and I know we've had
informal groups of our people go there on their own, and if
there were any major issues, we would have heard it. It's
becoming very rare that a place that's open to the public
will turn down business from someone who's trans or happens
to be crossdressed. That's sooooooo 20th. century! :)
The only concern I would have about a place like this would
be obvious restroom usage. I would strongly suggest avoiding
any restroom in the are where the group is obvious. IIRC
there is a set of out-of-the-way restrooms up the escalator
in the convention area to the right of Margaritaville.
And, as Ginger $aid, be $ure to con$ider the wait$taff! :)

Air Tours:
Densie writes (quoted):
>>+Nunsense
>>Why do I get the impression that Densie would love this?
>I just knew someone was gonna make that comment.
LOL! :)
>Do the nuns take off their clothes?
I don't know, do they? Are they in the habit of sleeping in
a habit? (Parse that, Watson!) :)
>I have a video of a nun doing a striptease, but I've never
>seen it in person. That would be awesome.
Jeez! Sounds like something the Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence
might do. :) (www.thesisters.org) I'm sure Densie has that one
bookmarked.
. . . . .
>>Densie, I might suggest this for a rendezvous point for the
>>Air Tours as well.
>OK, if we're going to do it that way.
>In the past, Gina has gone around with a note pad and reserved
>a time for everyone in advance. I might ask that everyone who
>is going to do air tours come and see me at one of the other

>I think, is better than having a group hanging around the airport
>waiting for the plane.
>Although we have a time fixed on the schedule, it might be
>possible to do air tours other dates and times.
I know that no-shows have been a major headache for you.
We now have some options which might make it easier for you.
First, we can get you an list of the e-mail addresses of those
who sign up for Air Tours. That way you can confirm and do any
scheduling prior to DLV.
What might be a better option here ... This year we'll be
requesting (but not requiring) cell phone numbers on the
activity sign-up screen. You could actually limit the activity
to those who furnish a cell number and make contact in real
time. Should somebody no-show, you can phone them and scream
at them.
Let us know which way you want to go on this.

Erotic Heritage:
Sarah writes:
Why don't we tentatively put this on Tuesday Evening? I'll touch base
with the EHM folks and let them know when we will be doing our sign up.
At that point we can give them some better numbers. I hate to make it
dependent on us getting enough people to commit, but this is usually a
night off for them and it wouldn't be right to ask them to come in for 3
or 4 of us.
. . . . . . . . . .
Thanks, Sarah.
What time?
I have a feeling that this will be a major hit. I wouldn't be too
concerned about a low turnout, I would be more concerned about
overwhelming the place. What is the maximum number at which we
should cut off sign-up?
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Makeovers and misc.:
Laura T. writes:
Can you send me Ginger, email or can you send Ginger my email
address so we can exchange info about assisting her with Trevi?
Also want to ask her a question.
I was interested in hosting a makeover session at the MAC store
in Town Center, different day than Gabi. I want to attend hers
as well. Manager said it can be arranged. They hold 2 types: Do
one makeover while everyone watches with Q&A (max 20 people) or
individual makeovers (10 max). Cost would be purchases of MAC
products by the group (~$50 each). That's about 2 items or so.
What do you think?
. . . . . . . . . .
I think it's great! :)
MAC has been suggested in the past. I say go4it with one minor
caveat. If at all possible avoid scheduling this against any
other commercial activity. We want to be fair to all of them
and give each one as much of a "clear channel" as we can.
It will really be up to you as to whether it's a group demo or
individual attention. IMAO, there's probably more of a demand
for an individual thing.
Please let us know day and time as soon as you decide.
Thanks for taking the initiative on this!
And, you should have received a Trevi info exchange e-mail.

Pre payment:
Katie writes:
Hi.
I have attended 6 DLV's and have paid both by mail and by hand
in past years. The hand payments were made to the respective
hostess a night or two before the event was scheduled and all
went well.
I don't arrive in Vegas till' very late Monday night and would
like to pay for the Limo and High Tea events. That leaves Tuesday
or Wednesday for me to to pay the person who needs to make the
reservations.
I realize that some have tried to skip out of paying before and
the hostess got stiffed for the bill a few times in the past.
Have we set anything up yet to handle this situation? I am one
of the Honest ones and want to pay before the event.
. . . . . . . . . .
I (Annie) can speak for the Limo Tour. Marilyn will need to
comment on anything to do with the High Tea.
We typically take Limo Tour payments up to 5:00pm the night
before the Limo Tour, which for DLV 2011 the deadline will
be 5:00pm on Wednesday. That's the time at which we'll cancel
any no-pays and start phoning the waiting list folks.

NSD-replacement status:
Nikki writes:
Hi Orgers (sounds dangerously like something out of a Shrek movie)
What happened with the super-secret NSD replacement project?
. . . . . . . . . .
Here's the story. We need a minimum of three committed volunteers
to pull this off. As of this day, hour, minute, and second, we
have one. The only thing holding it back is the lack of two
more volunteers. (Anyone????? Bueller??? Bueller??)
For something like this, we're about a week or two from "Bingo"
so unless we have two more volunteers step up, we'll need to
table it for this year.
And, there's really nothing secret about it. If you're referring
to things like this:
+Yes, as JoAnn stated, when we reach the "critical mass" of
+volunteers for the "challenge", you'll be contacted under
+separate cover.
.. It was planned to coordinate this using a separate mailing
list, like we do for the Limo Tour. Anyone wishing to volunteer
would be welcome to join that list, and the group would report
anything of significance here.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Gordie Brown:
Katie writes (edited):
Gordie Brown is a comedy show at The Golden nugget, The seating
is theater style in rows and would be very easy access and
egress for new girls.
The show is not general seating but numbered seats so would
have to be in a block booking.
There is no minimum drink charge and coupons are available on
Freemont street, In several of the Vegas coupon books and likely
at the discount show booths too. They are 2 for 1 which means
buying in pairs the show will cost you about $15.
Parking is easy too. It can be validated or pay around $4.
The show is comedy based with some singing and really well done
impersonations. Obviously I have seen the show or I wouldn't be
saying this but I can recommend both the show and the theater
for an easy D L V activity. This might fit for Tuesday or
Wednesday evening and it is around $29.00 so that would be a
very reasonably priced one which we are looking for.
I can't organize it but I could help as I don't arrive till'
late Monday night therefore I can't collect money and book a
block of tickets for Tuesday.....And the nice thing is, Freemont
Street is right outside the door for some nice 'n easy social
mingling.
. . . . . . . . . .
JoAnn responds:
Katie, If you would volunteer to head it up for Wednesday this would
give you Tuesday to collect money and get a block of tickets on
Wednesday morning for the evening activity.
Can you fit this fit into your schedule?
Doing a block of tickets is probably not absolutely necessary. The
important thing is to have a DLV representative on site and reasonably
visible before andbafter the show. On occasion we've done some
low-maintenance things to get most of the group seated together at
shows. One is simply to request that those who want to sit together
purchase tickets together. Another is to take a collection the night
before the show and have one go to the box office and purchase the best
available which are all together.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Charles Bar and shooting:
Gina writes:
I think it is a really bad idea to have the Pistol Rifle Shooting
7 hours after the Charles Bar, even though I can't host it.
Has anybody stepped up to host the shooting?
. . . . . . . . . .
Kid Sheleen always shot better when he was trashed, so maybe
some of our people would as well. :)
Vanessa has volunteered to host(ess) the shooting, but as of
the last report her attendance was still iffy.
Shooting fans: We could really use a back-up/assistant for
Vanessa on this!
