Interest Is Increasing:
There's been quite a bit of chatter on the dlvdisc forum the past
week, ranging from walking shoes to restroom to schedule questions.
That indicates the interest level of DLV 2008 is definitely rising,
and the indicators show this may be the largest turnout ever.

One housekeeping issue:
Please send all DLV organizational items directly to:
This assures they get in the queue for proper handling.
Some of them are still coming in to Annie's personal e-mail,
and that delays them, and we've had a couple posted over

Although the church service won't be a scheduled activity, we
could post it on the schedule as a pre-pre DLV get-together for
church. As in the past, there should be some early arrivers to
DLV that would join you for the church service.
I don't know if it's the proper term, but your return to DLV
this year is going to be our .... "blessing". :)

The idea of organizing a Greeter Committee came from the survey
where some attendees felt that DLV was too clique-ish. I might
have to agree with the survey comments.
A new attendee to DLV who is having trouble mixing with others
may be nervous, timid, and downright scared. An example of an
introvert might be ... Gina? :)
Annie has volunteered as coordinator to form a small group of
greeters to introduce our new attendees to others. If we happen
to be in a small group, it would be helpful to Annie if we, the
DLV organizers, were to make the new attendees feel welcome
when a greeter introduces a new person to us.

Friday dining:

No, it was not replaced.
Friday night is still very tentative, and the items such as
"Upscale option" were, and still are, place holders.
There's nothing that says we can't have an upscale buffet
and an upscale sit-down restaurant as well, and we'll have
Annie adjust the schedule for this.
Annie was planning an "alternative option" at Suede, but
since that close, she is looking for an alternative. Any
suggestions on that (alternative option) would be appreciated
since there doesn't seem to be a clear "alternative"
restaurant such as Suede in town at this time.
We're also in need of an affordable option for Friday,
something that, of course, is not already used during
the week.
And, we still are in need for Friday after-dinner activities
as well!
