for ...) :)

One thing I do want to say very conspicuously is that I think Nora did
a super job with the various dinner arrangements this year!

Doing group dinners is one of the more tedious jobs with DLV, and I
do think we need to let Nora know that we appreciate it! :)

A scheme like this works fine. First of all, it gives everybody a choice,
albeit one limited somewhat over free-feeding from the main menu.

It also removes payment and collection hassles. It frees servers to do
their primary job of serving, as opposed to cashiering.

I'm sad to see Carluccio's dropped from the DLV lineup. I've been back
there twice over the past year, once with my brother and his friend and
again with two executives from work. In both cases the food and service
were excellent.

Unfortunately they majorly p*ssed off one of our people, and it happens
to be somebody who others (including myself) listen to. Had they done
just a wee bit to satisfy this one customer, I'm sure they would have
seen much more business from us.

Different places have different ways they like to do things, and
I don't think it's realistic to have a one-size-fits-all model for
group dinners. Likewise we can't have a one-size-fits-all set of
expectations for these places.

I would also like to thank Dianna for arranging this three times. We
do need to validate those who perform the more challenging of the
DLV tasks!
