As I have stated before I strenuously object to any rescheduling of dates
for our upcoming DLV.

We can find all kinds of reasons to change things. I find the keeping of
commitments to be a most important value. I am concerned that this
rescheduling of DLV threatens the stability of the event.

We can go and speculate about high room rates. Rates do go up and down. At
a previous DLV I was confronted with a high rate for the weekend. However, a
month before the DLV was to take place, a major meeting in LV canceled and I
got a more favorable rate for that Friday and Saturday.

If there was such a good consensus concerning the dates a few months ago,
why the discord now? Are we having buyer's remorse. Are we having trouble
keeping our commitments. I am concerned that if we reschedule now, this will
not be the last of it. Someone else I'm sure will object, and we'll go
through this whole mess all over again.

It would be nice for people to pay less for accomidations rather than
more. I don't think anyone can foresee what room rates will be like as far
into the future was we try to do. We can't have it all.

I guess you can all do what you want to. I do feel that changing the
dates is a good way to run people off, and cause great offense. Sincerely,
ANYA, here in Las Vegas.
