Special mailing:
This is a special mailing to both the DLVORG and DLVGOLF lists. Any
responses will go immediately to the golf list and be summarized in the
next regular ORG mailing.
This contains the various golf scheduling items, newest ones first, and
some have previously appeared in the ORG list but are repeated here
since the golf list has not seen them.
Mindy and Billie Lee need to get things finalized with the course, so
if any further comments or discussion are in order, that needs to happen
sooner or later.
As a recap, golf is tentatively scheduled for Thursday of DLV week, but
there are some comments in favor of moving it to Wednesday, as well as
some against it.

I can speculate, but I really can't predict which day would get more
golfers.

Thanks, Billie Lee. This year is gonna be a good one! :)

I'm not a golfer, so please take this as an external observation.
Knowing our group, and how it behaves, I think there's more risk of
spoiling the golf turnout by scheduling golf on Wednesday than there is
risk of spoiling the Show/PP/Limo turnout by having golf on Thursday.
Even if we don't have an official post-NSD thing, if we stage the
vehicles at Zingers, 90% of the "doves" are gonna go back there and
party until it's well into Wednesday. People are gonna lose track of
time (anybody's ears burning?) :) and some will oversleep. It's a lot
harder to get up following a long night of partying than it is to stay
up after a day of moderate physical activity.
That's my non-golfer opinion, anyway ... :)
