I would be willing to pre-pay as well.
If we're gonna do this, we should be prepared to announce this to the
Teeming Millions in the general mailing that will come out January 5.

Thanks for the pointer.
Palm Springs is apparently *THE* big thing now with respect to gaming
and entertainment. I'm sure Kenny's show will continue to do well there.
For those who follow gaming news (and for those who don't as well),
forecasts show that Palm Springs will (continue to) cut into the
weekender El-Lay to El-Vee business. Hardest hit will be the downtown LV
area, so the forecasters say. Downtown may get a shot in the arm,
however, since four hotel/casinos have been recently acquired by a very
aggressive startup company that plans on some major promotion for the
Las Vegas Club and the Plaza.

Yes, but remember that in 1977 the DelMar was a classy place and Lester
was a wealthy up-and-coming executive with Eastern Airlines. :)

Web pages and rogues gallery:
When the regular mailings start up next month, we want to again have a
listing of peoples' web sites, and also a plug for our rogues Gallery.
Since so many web sites change location and vanish frequently, it's
always best to start our web page list fresh each year. It would be nice
if we had a good collection of URL's already on the list when the
general DLV population gets it. Soooo ... I'm asking all of you who have
personal web sites to please send them in. Just a quick reply to this
mailing with the URL is all that it takes. Thanks, gang. :)
. . . . .
I think our DLV People Gallery worked quite well. We have 15 or so
people featured, and it gets quite a bit of traffic from the visitors to
the DLV site. I know several of us already appear in it. If you don't
and if you would like to, it's very easy. We need the following:
1. Your name, the way you want it to appear. (Some prefer first/last,
others prefer first only.)
2. 1 to 5 photos of you, with at least one being a clear view of your
face. See photo submission instructions below.
3. Which photo do you prefer for the front gallery page display.
4. (optional) Your personal web site address. No "adult" sites, please.
5. (optional) Your e-mail address. On the gallery pages, this will be
encoded such that it will appear properly using most standard browsers
but will not be picked up by most spambots.
To submit photos you may either e-mail them using any of the standard
file attach methods to: annie@annie.net
DO NOT SEND PHOTOS TO ANY DLV LIST ADDRESS. THIS WILL NOT WORK.
If your photos already appear on the web, you may instead send in the
URL(s) and I will download them. Photos may be in any standard graphics
format (.jpg, .gif, .bmp, .tif, .png ...). Photos may be either boymode
or girlmode, no mixed mode please. No nudity, "adult" themes, please.

vehicle to the pick-up zone, I'll ...
>Liberace museum?
Yes, possibly.
>Rhyolite trip?
I'm still game. This could be the Sunday trip if there is interest.
Remember, also, we have the planned trip on Monday to Area 51
(doo-doo-doo doo-doo) and the Little A-Le-Inn. :)

Shows and classes:
>Howdy!
>Geez, did I say that?
Aw reckon y'all did. :)
>NFR week here.
Coincidentally I was in LV at a tech conference during NFR week a few
years back. That was a trip! CW background music in all casinos and the
occasional YEE-HAW cheer coming from the craps tables. :)
>One problem I foresee with apres Cagle is that Weds. is Ginger Grant's
>show and I would be willing to bet she would fight the change in her
>schedule.
Somehow I think that a full house on a weekday evening would give us
some major clout. I think Rudy or Kenny would keep our people there for
a few more hours, resulting in some major bar income for them.
Let's see how things work out.
>Last time Rudy was at Sasha's he did a Sunday and Monday nite show,
>when there wasn't much else going on. Let me check with Sasha before
>we start thinking about it and any discussion starts.
. . . . .
>Regarding the comportment classes..... just to clarify I believe HW
>would like to offer this on a separate day other than their open house
>as they will have the wig styling again which consumed a fair amount of
>time.
Hmmmm ... This is opposite from what I recall. I thought it was to be
an add-on to the Open House. This is the first I've heard of the hair
styling thing. We have not discussed that here that I recall and we
don't know what the demand will be for that this year.
>Leona is out of town until after Christmas but I will check when
>she gets back. Can we hold the votes off till then to make sure we
>have the proper info to vote on?
Hopefully we will decide by consensus and not by vote, but we're in
no major hurry to solidify this.
>Schedule filler..... HW open house on Weds. afernoon which is the same
>day as last year, GB on Thurs. afternoon again?
I'll go ahead and pencil these in. Have you made contact with GB on
this? I was hoping that one day could be designated Open House Day for
all vendors, but I realize they are competitors, so they may not want
to do this.

Open houses and show:

>I vote for having informal open houses at both Hidden Woman and Glamor

I think having open house sessions at both places is a Good Thing<tm>.
Benefits both us and the shops.
>Another reason I like the open houses is that they are in an earlier
>time spot! Early afternoon fills a void in my time frame.
I think this year we will have a richer set of daytime activities. There
are a few, such as bowling, that have not even been slotted yet.
>I am not a late late night person, and so I am usually in bed by

>>Section D: Rest of the showroom theater. $54 per person with $10
>>group discount and reservations accepted = $44 net.
>Jubilee sounds fine with me. I favor plan D, I think it was. I am
>willing to pre pay, but would rather not do it more than about 30 days
>ahead!
The 90 day thing is for the up-front booth seats, IIAC. If that happens,
there will be another group in D which can be paid later. The D seats
can actually be paid up to the day of the show. I'm not sure how Aiko
will be handling the arrangements for this yet.
>I also prefer an earlier performance, for the same reasons
>mentioned above. The one exception I am willing to make to the earlier
>to bed thing, is the Limo Tour if necessary! It is my understanding,
>that if we go to an early performance of the production show, we can do
>an earlier Limo tour and get back about 12:00 midnight or 1:00 AM.
I think consensus is leaning toward the earlier show, with one person
preferring the later show.
>We already have a room reserved at the Sahara and now that
>registrations are open, we will be sending ours in. Looks as if it is
>going to be a great time! Now what to bring to wear? Oh my, can I get
>it all in the car? This year there will be two of us to fit in!
