Open items:

We're getting another laundry list of things that have to be decided.
We did a good job on the last list, so let's get some discussion on
these things ...

1. Second track activity for Thursday evening. a. Do we want one? and b.
what do we want. We've had suggestions of Icon and ({mumble} the place
next door) as well as Boardwalk (see below). Comments?

2. After-show items for Saturday. Again, we've had a suggestion of
Icon/etc.

3. RHPS. Do we wanna leave this one on the schedule, for better or worse,
adjusting the location if the second cast should wake up and crawl out
of that multicolored fishtank?

4. Publicity, Las Vegas _OUT_. See below. Do we want it? Comments?

5. Afternoon activities for Wednesday and Friday, including a Hidden
Woman Open House and a possible Pool Party (swimming, not billiards).
See below. We probably should put the firming touches on the daytime
things.

Let's hear some chatter from the infield! :) :)

RHPS:

Densie writes:

>I have some bad news about Rocky Horror. It sounds like this year's
>show, if it goes on at all, will be even worse than last year's, and if
>what I am hearing is correct, it's not worth seeing at all.

IMAO, when a cast gets hung up on internal politics, it's the audience
who suffers. We don't really care whose ego is bruised, we care about
seeing a good show. :(

>As Annie pointed out, there are rumors of another cast possibly
>playing. If they do, we should plan on making that show, but otherwise
>we should probably think about an alternate activity.

True, it might be good to be thinking of after-show (after La Cage)
activities for Saturday. Ideas, anybody?

I like RHPS, but I'm not gonna die if we don't go there this year. It
does provide our people an out-and-about venue where slutty and kinky
dress is not only accepted, but encouraged, for those who want to go out
in those types of outfits.

Boardwalk reception:

>cocktails and gaming are a go.. just let me know what night.. i
>tenativly told them may 2nd.. tues.. the same night as la feme and the
>limo tour ...

May 2, evening of LaFemme and Limo is Thursday.

>still change.. also all the diva people who get players cards we will
>get fun books and next year they will get double comp points during
>diva..

Ladies (gentlemen) do we want to schedule this as an alternate activity
for Thursday? I mentioned my thoughts about two-tracking Thursday in
one of the last mailings, but no comments have come in about it so far.

>i was over at flex last night and they are excited about us comming

Good. I think that will turn out to be a good deal.

Out and about:

Leah writes:

You do mean a snack at Jerry's, right? :) <LOL>

>Have not heard any news on Moulin Rouge but will check around.

Thanks. I read on Tripshark (I do miss that site!) that there was
another serious attempt at reopening it. When I was in LV last time I
drove by and there were trucks and things on the site, so it looked
like there was some activity. I haven't heard anything about it in the
mainstream media, though.

For those listening in, Moulin Rouge was Las Vegas's first integrated
casino-hotel and has a very rich history, even though it's been dark and
boarded up for years. It's best known for being a discreet after hours
hangout for the Rat Pack, where they could play and party without
getting mauled by fans. IIRC the building is on the National Historic
Register. It was supposedly a very classy place in its heyday.

Over the past couple decades there have been several attempts to reopen
the Moulin Rouge, one of them spearheaded by Bob Stupak of Vegas World
and Stratosphere fame. It never happened. The place is on Bonanza, and
not too far, actually, from the dum^H^H^Hplace where TUG used to meet
a few years ago.

Oh well, sorry for digressing ... :)

>Out magazine here is just a local GLBT paper.

Ok, I'm confusing it with a slick-cover magazine called _OUT_ that I've
seen on the stands.

>If they provide the same coverage as other events it would only be a

>would run it through the group first.

>I would think it would not be overpowering in the least but that is
>only my opinion and of course a selfish motive for some press to the
>T-community here.

Personally, I don't think something like this is gonna cause any
problems at all, especially since they are sensitive to the needs of
some of our people who don't want any attention. I'm sure any exposure
we would get from it would be positive and very targeted in audience.

I would like to hear comments from the others on this.

Pool party:

Mindy writes:

>just a thought.. can toss it out..we have a nice pool and bbq set up in
>our back yard.. also high fences..

>we could do an afternoon pool party and bbq any after noons except fri
>sat sun.. would be fun especially to do on monday for early arrivals
>but even could do a couple..

>that way girls can actually do the pool in fem suits at least once
>while in vegas..

Ladies? (gentlemen?) what do you think? Would there be interest?

As for afternoons, all we have solid is Glamour Boutique Open House on
Thursday afternoon, May 12. I've promised the GB people that we would
not two-track that one, since they will be providing refreshments and
such.

We've tentatively planned a Hidden Woman Open House but have not set the
day. Wednesday or Friday look like they would work. In all fairness, we
should not two-track HW to be equitable to the two shops. Let me drop a
note to Leona seeing if Friday afternoon would be good for the HW thing.
Then Wednesday would be open for something like this, since you said
Friday is not good.

Tuesday (pre-pre-DLV) is open for those who will be there, or, as Mindy
said, Monday is an option. Personally, although I will be in on Monday,
I'm planning to take that day easy, since the next several days,
although fun, will be at a burnout pace. :)

Comments?
