Everybody get together:

As I said previously, I'll be in Las Vegas next Sunday evening the 16th.
and Monday morning the 17th. There seems to be interest in getting a group
together that evening.

How about this ... Let's meet at Keys Sunday evening around 8:00pm or
so. We'll have a drink and a chat, catch up on things, tell each other
fairy tales (she's lookin at you, oh no-no she's lookin at me :) and
contemplate things to come.

If you're in the LV area, please stop by. Either mode is ok, just be
there. :)

Update: Leah (LJC1000@webtv.net) has volunteered to provide a ride if
you need one. e-mail her if you need a ride.

Glamour Boutique:

This outfit sure seems to have the support of our community, as the
following comments indicate:

>I know John from his store in the Boston area and through my dealings
>with him at Southern Comfort. All I can offer is positive support. His
>store is for us about us and with us. I think it should definitely be
>on the tour.

>He has one of the VERY best makeover artists who works from his store
>and I know that Jamie Austin would be great to have available to all
>the girls. Just my two cents.

and ...

>I frequently shop at John's store in Auburn MA, and have always found
>the help to be professional, courteous, and friendly. I'm sure the
>Vegas folks will be the same.

Thanks for the feedback, everybody. I'm gonna try to meet up with John
(if he's in town) when I'm gonna be in LV. I'll be sure to stop by the
shop even if John is not gonna be there and say "hi" and I'll report
back here.

and ...

>Never ordered (from) them myself, but some of the girls I know really
>rave about the place. I hope we can make a trip there next year.

Golf:

(from a conversation)

a: Ok, it's on the schedule now. :)

a:>> That sounds great. More incentive to join in on this. :)

m:> i will continue to work on the prizes..

m:> if anybody in the org has a biz that could afford to donate a small
m:> prize have them get in touch with me..

a: Well, uh, I suppose I could donate a box of Peeps and a quart of
a: Boob Goo. :)

a: Seriously, we still have a couple prizes left over from our abortive
a: door prize thing a couple years back. Lemme dig and see what we have
a: unclaimed.

Anyway, golf is now on the schedule. I think you'll all join me in
saying thanks to Mindy (in unison: "Thanks, Mindy") for taking the
initiative to get this going early in the process. :)

Dress Barn:

Mindy writes:

>i have also made arragements for 10% discount coupons for all
>registered diva attendees at the dress barn in the outlet mall.

That is SUPER! I'm sure people will take advantage of this.

>the manager there encourges the t trade and my friends and i have all
>been treated very well when shopping there. never any problems with
>service and access to the dresssing rooms.

I'm gonna add this to our vendor list, green light, on account of this
report. I've been there, browsed anyway ... don't remember buying
anything.

>i will make an attempt to check out johns shop in the next few days and
>get back to you with a report..

Ok, thanks. From the reports we've been getting, I'm sure this will be
well-received.

Goodtimes update:

>Went by Goodtimes the other day and the renovation has already started
>and looks to be quite a bit along right now so hopefully it will be
>done in time for DLV. They are working on the area from Carluccio's to
>about halfway to Goodtimes right now. I imagine after they finish that

>staying and the space will not be used for something else.

That's encouraging news. Please keep us informed of any new
developments. Thanks.

Delmar, dressing, drunks:

>>Yes, we stopped at the Delmar, in remembrance of one particular
>>incident, and I suppose next year we could stop at the 4 Queens in
>>remembrance of another, if we {hint} get to do it again this coming
>>DLV. :)

>Well, I don't know if I'm up to arranging a limo tour or not, but I did
>talk to the transient who was at the Four Queens and he has agreed to
>meet us again next year. His address is:

> Lester Smith
> General Delivery
> Las Vegas, NV

You forgot to get his e-mail address. I'm sure he would want to be
on the DLV list. I'm sure he reads his Hotmail account at the Libe,
or maybe at the Fashion Show Mall kiosks when he takes his trips
there to check out the hot.babes. :)

>Oh, and Mr. Smith has asked that we avoid wearing glasses next time.

Ok, how about you do contacts and I'll do my trademark shades. :)

>>Hmmm ... Do cops (like when they stop you for a traffic ticket) even
>>look at the "sex" field?

>If they're taking you to jail, they definitely do.

Fortunately I've never had that experience, in either mode. (Knocking on
wood.)

>>Some were in boymode, some in casual girlmode, some in gg girlmode.
>>One wore a dress (Nichole) but she pulled it off very well

>umm...and there's another way to get arrested...please remember, it's
>OK to wear a dress, but don't pull it off in public, no matter how good
>you are at undressing.

Uh ...

Group from Canada:

>I am a CD and also a travel agent. I hope to put together a group from
>Canada to attend your event.

That sounds great. The more the merrier. :)

>Have you picked out which hotels will be the unofficial headquarters? I
>know people can stay where they wish but I want to direct people to
>your unofficial hotels. I believe last year it was Imperial Palace and
>Sahara. Is it those again.

No decision yet. I'm copying this message to the DLVORG list as it's
probably time to start discussing that. I think it's safe to say that we
will have people at both the Sahara and the Imperial Palace whether or
not we designate those as our suggested hotels.
