I think the MK Open House went well this year. I do think that having it
toward the beginning of the weekend gets more interest.

Actually, I thought it was well-organized.

Unless there is a highly-compelling reason for change, we will most
likely have DLV2001 on the weekend right after the main part of
Networld+Interop again. We should be able to confirm the N+I dates
within the next month or so. That should give a good tentative date
for DLV2001.

>Are you satisfied with your product?

Everybody I talked to was. I have no complaints at all. :)

If anybody does not have contact info and needs it, please let me know.

>Looking forward to seeing all of you next year. keep in touch!

Yes, and I want to say thanks again for hanging in there with us. I think
as the word spreads about how well the one this year went, others will
want to go next year. I would especially recommend this for those who
are just peeking out of the closet.

You're very welcome. I'm looking forward to next year too.

Actually, I ate at the Sahara buffet at least once a day this trip (I was
staying there) and I've gotta admit it was very good for one of the less
expensive buffets.

>- The general lack of blatant stares

I agree there. I think the only time anybody attracted any attention was
when dressed to the nines for the big evening activities.

Yes, another "Close Encounter of the Elevator Kind." :)

Well, I was around Sunday night at Keys. Where were you? :)

You're very welcome, it was my pleasure.

Well, as everybody knows, not everybody shows up at everything. It's
expected that everybody will miss something.

You're very welcome, and please don't think of yourselves as outsiders.
We're very inclusive. :)

Yes, a lot of class there, definitely. I was very impressed.

I'm looking forward to next year as well.

Bridges, airfare, Fall Harvest, etc.:

> Hi Annie, Thanks for great time at DLV 2000. I need a favor. Can you
> send my the computer address for Fall Harvest?

Sure, here it is ...

http://sites.netscape.net/stlgf/FH/FH2000.htm

If you lose this or can't remember it, there will be a link to this
from my web page (listed in the DLV web listings) up until FH2000
happens.

Also, I checked with the TA's about airfare from the Bay Area to STL
next October. Many airlines are now in the $300-ish range round trip,
but they say there will most likely be $200-ish prices on this route
in the summer. Advice is to check frequently with a TA or with one
of the online services such as Travelocity.

I also checked on the fare from RDU to STL. Southwest is showing $200-
ish prices and they are valid for the FH dates. Reservation can be
made on line at: http://www.iflyswa.com/

Actually, no I didn't, but I do now. :)

And this is what most everybody was reporting. The only unwanted attention
anybody got seemed to be on the dress-up evenings.

Hey, you're outa uniform, those aren't regulation! :)
