A few comments:
>I was in Vegas last month with an on-line group of 40 T girls. We had
>dinner one night at the FreeZone, and I recommend it.
Been there, enjoyed it. Nice place. :)
>Concerning Sat, night-- FreeZone is much nicer than Gipsy for CD's and
>other TG's. Gipsy is so wall to wall guys you can hardly move on a Sat
>night. I suggest FreeZone be the meeting place for Sat. night. It's
>smaller, and easier to spot one another as we arrive. Girls can walk
>across the street to Gipsy or Angles.
Here's the story. I'm not the one in charge of that gathering, so it's
not up to me. As I've said before, those who would prefer Freezone (or
Angles/Lace or Whatever) can simply walk down the block, since they are
within a stone's throw of each other. It looks like some of our people
definitely want a loud and zooey party club that night. :)
>Friday evening.--- I plan to go over to FreeZone late Fri. evening after
>our get-together at Goodtimes Lounge. I wonder if this could be put on
>the list as a late alternative.
Ok, let's get that on the schedule.
>Just curious-- Is there a reason Keyes Lounge is not on the schedule
>this year.
Uh, nope ... :)
Let's make that the Sunday night after-show gathering place.
I did include it last night as I was making up the driving directions
and the map to our functions, so I kinda assumed we would be going
there at times.
>Our group went there several times last month, and everyone
>just adored the place. They had a very nice lounge act, and we could not
>have been treated better.
I know they rate very highly for service. I took a net.friend there last
December one night for a drink right after we had eaten at Tony Roma's
up the street. We were both in town for a (non-t*) conference that week.
>Have you been to the Las Vegas Lounge? We went there a couple of times.
Yes, some of the local ladies dragged me there in December. :)
>Unfortunately the place doesn't seem to have caught on yet, although the
>people who work there are very nice. They have a drag show either Fri or
>Sat night around 10. I know FreeZone has a later show on Sat night.
I think it has potential. It is somewhat off the beaten path, far less
conspicuous than Keys, Goodtimes, Freezone and the like, but if they
get the food part going and start getting a regular crowd, it could be
quite the success.
We're due to have our Thursday Pre-DLV thing there.
>If the Thur dinner is at the Sahara buffet would I be correct in
>assuming that most of the girls will be in drab?
I don't know. I'm suggesting casual in either mode for dress. If you're
comfortable doing the casual-girlmode thing, then go4it! If you're one
of those "I didn't come all the way to DLV to wear jeans ..." type, or
if you just aren't comfortable in an out-in-the-open place (yet), then
boymode is your option.
>Had a great time last year Annie, and am looking forward to seeing you
>and the other girls very soon!
Thank you. I'm looking forward to it too. :)

Need items:
>Do you know if the following things are easy to get in Vehas?
>1. I need a new wig. Mine is really bad.
Three vendors have been recommended. Vegas Girl is the one that goes
out the most for the t* business. All three are reputed to be very
t-friendly.
Serge's Showgirl Wigs (and Wig Outlet next door)
953 E Sahara #A2
732-1015
Vegas Girl Wigs
1901 S. Eastern and
1717 S Decatur (FISM)
457-3268
Wigs Bras and Things
1012 E. Charleston
471-6707
>2. Pantyhose, need some new ones.
Well, unless you need something very unusual, just about any department/
drug/supermarket/convenience store there is will have them. If you do
need something special ...
Bare Essentials Lingerie
4029 W Sahara
247-4711
Open 7 days
... this place has a wide selection, as well as the Hanes/Bali/etc.
outlet at the Belz mall.
You don't need to be shy in Las Vegas when buying pantyhose (or about
anything). Las Vegas is a "show town" and it's very common for men to
be buying cosmetics and womens items. If you're uneasy, I'm sure there
are several who will go with you. :)

Closed attractions:
>I don't know if this will disappoint any of your people, but I've
>just heard that the Coke Museum Exhibit and the Cranberry World
>Exhibit are both closing. Just thought you would want to know.
Hmmmm, I've heard rumors about the Coke one. The Cranberry World
West is so far off the beaten path, I wouldn't doubt it.
I wonder what they will be doing with the big Coke bottle and the
enclosed elevator.

Unease -> ease:
>>It's ok to be nervous, it's human to be so, but you will find the
>>feeling goes away very rapidly once you get out for only a few minutes.
>
>>Even though you may not know anybody until you meet up with the group,
>>you will be among friends. These are some of the finest people you will
>>ever meet. They are good-natured, fun-loving, and very inclusive.
>
>>I know quite a few people who will be there personally, and I can
>>honestly say there is not a single jerk among us.
>I couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!!
>Let me just say this. Last year I was a total wreck and i almost
>chickened out more times than I can remember. I was OK getting in
>the car and driving, but when I got to the Liberace corner, I
>just got scared s...less. I drove back over by the airport and
>back maybe 2 or 3 times before I got the nerve to go park in
>the parking lot. Then I kind of froze, trying to get up the nerve
>to go in the bar. Then when i saw this couple coming out and kind
>of laughing and stuff, I supposed it was ok to go in, so I planned
>to maybe go in and look around and see if i had the nerve to look
>for you all. Ok, so I walk and just looked around, still very
>nervous, and this one girl standing up at the bar kind of catches
>my eye and smiles and sayssays We're Over There'
>and points to the corner, so
> i couldn't back out. Then Annie greets me, and stops the
>conversation and we inroduce each other, and then one of the
>other girls kind of pulls out an open chair and pats on it and
>points to me. I know this doesn't sound like so much, but I was
>so happy i almost cried then and there. I have never, ever
>seen such a friendly bunch!
Wow, thanks. As I've said before, it's feedback like this that
assures me we're doing something right. :)
>Now, I've been to a couple of supposed 'Support' meetings,
>but the girls there were just plain snotty. I'm so glad you
>all were not that type. I worried about it for a while.
Some t* groups (like some groups of any type) can be cliquish, but
others are quite open and inclusive.
I do agree that we have a very good group of people who come to DLV.
Everybody seems to come with the goal of enjoying life and each other's
company. We have yet to have any attitude problems. :)
