For the Virgins among us, we have tried for the past two years to find
an actual showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show in Las Vegas.
Last fall, I thought I actually found one, when I got a note saying
RHPS was appearing Friday and Saturday at Torrey Pines Cinema. When I
last passed thru LV, I checked this out, and found that the Torrey
Pines Cinema had closed.
This week I got a new lead, which is supposedly current.
LV cast, DIVINE DECADENCE performs every Sat. nite at midnight, at the
Paradise Dollar Theater, 3330 E. Tropicana, northwest corner Tropicana
and Pecos...
If there is anybody here who does not know what RHPS is, ask around.

Here's the list of planned and proposed events and activities as it
sits now, which is *very very* preliminary. Dates/times are sometimes
noted for those that occur on a specific date/time.
Remember, not everybody has to do everything, and everyone is free to
plan and schedule additional and alternate activities.
* Welcome get-together Friday evening (T-friendly club, 7-ish).
* Kenny Kerr show Saturday night, Plaza Hotel (dark Sunday).
* Rocky Horror Picture Show. Saturday night (only), after Kenny Kerr.
* Frank Marino show Sunday evening, Riviera (dark Saturday).
* Driving/walking Strip tour, Saturday afternoon.
* Hoover Dam tour, some afternoon, possibly Sunday.
* Trip to Rhyolite, some morning/afternoon.
* Shopping excursions, any afternoon.
* Makeover sessions, as schedules permit.
There are other "standing activities", such as gaming, if you wish,
sightseeing, dining, people watching, and I'm sure much of the group
will gravitate to a certain piano lounge most evenings after other
events.
Now is the time to start thinking of (other) things that we want to do.
You may think that there will be lots of time, but believe me, in
Vegas, time FLIES!!!
We want to allow plenty of "slack time", especially before any dress-up
events, like four hours. Last year things got a bit tight a couple
times.
If you have ideas of something you think the group would enjoy doing,
please send them in to this list as soon as possible. Now is the time
to get things like that organized.
Here are some other ideas that have been suggested:
* Non-drag/fi production show. I can think of a number of these that
the people in our group will enjoy. Some can be pricey, though. Does
anybody have anything that they *really* want to see? Evenings.
* Liberace Museum. The group went there in 1997. This is part of our
culture. :) This could be done any afternoon, or in conjunction with
a shopping trip.
* Driving tour(s) of Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, and
other scenic areas in the LV vicinity. Mornings or afternoons.

So far it looks like we have people staying at Riviera, Stardust,
and Imperial Palace. I've been told that Riviera is now sold out
for Tuesday the 18th., since they have a large group coming in
that day.

Room Sharing:
If you are interested in sharing a room to save $$$, please write to
this list (just hit reply if you are reading via e-mail, otherwise
write to: dlv99@geekbabe.com) and give the following information:
1. Your name
2. Means of contact, e-mail address or voice phone.
3. Important information about yourself, especially about any possibly
annoying habits you have, such as smoking, snoring, midnight CNN
addict, etc.
We will post this to the list, and potential roommates can contact each
other to make specific arrangements.
Please keep in mind that any room-sharing arrangements will be a good-
faith private agreement only between those directly involved, and that
I or any of the others cannot be responsible if there are any problems.

It appears that there will be a Mary Kay rep who has experience with
the t* community who will do private consultations and makeovers.
If you are unfamiliar with Mary Kay, the makeover and consult is
free, but their goal is to sell you stuff. There will most likely
be other makeover options as well.

Door Prizes:
As we did last year, we're soliciting donations of small items to be
given to the lucky (??) winners of a drawing. These can be useful in
nature, or humorous. Last year we had such things as an Epilady, a
home electrolysis unit, and some jewelry items.

more of a big deal this year.
