Former Cherrystone "Clubhouse"

Cherrystone was a TG support and social organization serving metropolitan Boston and surrounding area.

The organization known as Cherrystone currently exists in the form of the Tiffany Club.

The group's roots go back to 1969 when a Boston area chapter of FPE was formed. The group broke away from FPE in 1972 and adopted the Cherrystone name.

For several years the group maintained a "clubhouse" in the form of an apartment in the Brighton neighborhood. This was used for meetings and social activities, as a changing facility, as a "safehouse", and was available at all times to Cherrystone's "keyholder" members.

Members of Cherrystone were instrumental in founding Fantasia Fair, which is recognized as the longest-running recurring TG event.

The name Cherrystone had no particular significance, it was used ("Jay Cherrystone") to obtain a telephone listing at residential rates.
