Different From The Others (Anders als die Andern) is a 1919 German silent film, co-written by Dr. Magnus Hirschfeld which was intended as a political statement against then-current anti-homosexuality laws. Dr Hirschfeld had a minor performing role as a physician, assumed to be Hirschfeld himself.
