Farewell Dinner

I've been laid up for 2 days. My DPN is acting up.
How did Carmine's work out? Surprised there haven't been any comments about it.

dinner was excellent...the girls at our table did not finish all the food served. The regular forum valet was filled before 7pm but we were directed to the VIP valet which is actually a lot closer to Carmine's. U actually entered near the fountain. There was another group upstairs so it was very hard to hear our microphone. All in all excellent. Next year I would like to see if the finale can be held at Bahamas Breeze it,s a lot more informal.

All in all, I would have preferred BB, where it is much easier to visit friends at other tables and seems to be more open and airy. Also, I thought the comedian was not funny; the girl from our own group (didn't catch her name) was much better. Cami did a good job though, welcoming everyone and making them feel good.

personally, my wife and I loved Carmines. Cami did a great job. I don't
think we should do the same thing every year...we DID go to Bahama
Breeze and it was as good as in the past, just wasn't the final dinner.

let's try yet another place next year.

As to the comedian...half of us could not hear hear him due to competing
noises from outside our room as well as from inside our room with people
talking over his performance so to be fair he did not have optimal
conditions to work in. We at the ala carte tables also had too much
food! Staff there was very nice I thought.

Kudos to all who took something on. Thanks we had a wonderful time, and
I am now back in New York and reality...and don't like it one bit!

Carmines was without a doubt the worse meal we had the whole week long.
A $1 cheap burger from McDonalds would have been much better. I talked
to several girls that felt the same way. Maybe we should just stick with
Bahama Breeze for the farewell event. At least there we know the food is
good.

This place was much too noisy with other events going on in the
restaurant.

What happened to the comedian? Some guy was there that took us for $200
and spent about 10 minutes talking. No need to waste our money on a
comedian.

Speaking of farewell event, what happened to the final photo?

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the food. Its hard to please everyone, but I thought it was good. I don't believe we would go again to Carmines in the future but it was good to try a different place. The comedian was not that good, but he tried.

The food was just fine. The comedian sucked.

As I said on the feedback page, you need to pass the hat AFTER the show, or else pass it back for a refund.

Nothing bad about the people who did their best to organize this but I agree with Veronica completely.
I have not heard anybody say anything about the prices of the food and drinks but for mine standards I found it very overpriced , even the $25.00 menu. If the glamour and glitter of Ceasers Palace making the price I prefer the food and the good and friendly service of Ricardo's on Flamingo.

I was happy with my night at Carmines.
The company was terrific, Our hostess Cami was great and my meal was fine. (After Wednesday up to and including my flight home Saturday night I had mild to annoying food poisoning and the obvious follow up problems)
I did not expect super high end food at a family styled Italian restaurant but there was absolutely nothing wrong with what I ate, It was quite tasty and there was plenty of it and believe me my upset stomach would have told me in a hurry if the food was not up to par.
I had a really terrific week and it was great to see as many of the girls new and old at the closer in Carmines. I will most definitely be coming back to DLV again next Spring.

That being said, I think we lost a few of our lesser lights at our week ending event due to the high profile exposure of the Caesars Forum shops Mall.
We live and learn, next year we will try something new again and our local volunteers ( That's Volunteers folks ) Nudge, Nudge. will come up with something special for 2015

Speaking from the heart, the setting was very rich and glamorous,
indeed. But did anyone notice that all the shops in the Forum were empty
and no one was shopping. Hmm!

I went in to Carmines knowing it was going to be not your run of the
mill Italian eatery. After all, they are very well known in NYC. Italian
food, which basically is noodles, pasta and sauce with some spices,
and veggies and a meat dish, it seems like something I could get at
your local Olive Gardens or speciality Italian family restaurant like a
Mamma Rosalina's, really, and pay less. I am not putting down Carmines
for they have to do what must be done to bring in the money for the
rent, plus pay the staff.

The restaurant seemed pretty full and I'm not sure if they were locals
wanting to spend some bucks on Italian fare or if they were just
tourists wanting to experience Carmines like we all were that night.
Cami did a wonderful job of organizing and I applaud her for pulling off
this huge endeavor. Bravo, Cami. With that all said and now that I've
done Carmine's, would I do Carmine's again next year? Probably not.
Carmine's falls into the category of places you been to and don't need
to do again.
