Joan,

I can appreciate your situation.

Let me suggest that you check with a reputable dermatological where
you live. Many of them carry special cosmetics aimed at people with
skin conditions.

For years I've made an annual "skin cancer cure visit" and learned
the other services my dermatologist provides. That has led me to
have a variety of other treatments for cosmetic problems including
superficial varicose veins and brown spots on the backs of my hands.
My SO has had additional cosmetic treatments applied in the clinical
setting.

I've also noticed plastic surgeons have a similar line of cosmetics,
but someone with acute skin problems needs to be under the care of a
competent dermatologist and have his or her recommendations for
cosmetics. If your dermatologist told you not to wear cosmetics you
might want to discuss your problems with other dermatologists to see
what they recommend.

Good luck!

Ginger
