Thank you Jane, for correctly understanding the situation, and how
for a few it was uncomfortable. I am sorry that you were the focus
of this discussion too. It would not have happened, but someone
had to accuse the people making comments as being critical of
you, and I disagreed.
I felt this accusation about the comments from those few
attendees wasn't correct. Nor did I like any attendee attacking
another attendee or attendees based on something I didn't agree with
the reasoning behind it.
I read the comments over several times, and the few comments
were limited to just questioning if what you wore was appropriate
to their understanding of the attire for that event and feeling of
being uncomfortable at that event, and that was all.
Some parts of the comments dealt with the procedures behind
such an occurrence.
One or two of the comments even stated you looked quite
good in that gown. I agreed that you looked quite good too.
DLV has many attendees with different perceptions and attend
DLV for different reasons. This was one time when it clashed,
and the discussion that followed also brought up facts that weren't
known to everyone about what had happened.
You may have wanted to be the center of attraction at BB but
certainly not in how this discussion transpired. Again, I am sorry
that this discussion occurred over you.
I'm glad for a short time at DLV you enjoyed being your
true self.
Sorry to hear about your family situation too. Sounds
like you are very close to your mom. Watching one's
parents age wasn't easy for me either.
