> Hi Annie... dont want to be stupid but what is RHPS?
No such thing as a stupid question. :)
Rocky Horror Picture Show. This will be, of course, an option for those
who want to do it, as will be everything with Pinkfest, as will be
Pinkfest itself. :) :)

Our people stay everywhere and anywhere. You basically have two choices
for accommodations. $100-ish hotels downtown or much cheaper places out
in the burbs.
If you want something cheaper, assuming you will be driving and coming
from the south, I might recommend the Baymont Inn on Halsted right off
I-80. It's a hassle-free trip into the city right up the Calumet
expressway EXCEPT during morning rush hour. I've stayed there before.
I've also stayed at the Baymont on Cicero a few miles south of Midway,
but it's a trickier drive into downtown for somebody not familiar with
the area.
In 2001 some of us stayed at places in the general vicinity of O'hare
but that can be an awful drive into downtown.
If you want something downtown that's not too exorbitant, last year I
stayed at the Best Western River North at Ohio and LaSalle. It's not the
Ritz, but clean, comfortable, and safe. Parking is free there, which is
the exception and not the rule for downtown Chicago. We've also had
people stay at the Red Roof Inn, Hilton Gardens, Days Inn, Quality Inn,
and Palmer House (hoity-toity) and a few other places.
I've also stayed at the Holiday Inn City Centre (Ohio and Fairbanks) and
the Hyatt Regency (Wacker), which are both very nice but will be $150-ish.
Last time I checked, Southwest Airlines (www.iflyswa.com) had some good
prices for downtown Chicago hotels for the Pinkfest dates.
There are some various other hotel comments on the list archives:

Hope this helps. :)
