Dear Annie and all the PinkFest Girls,

Loved Baton and Gentry, but probably wouldn't do the same Gentry two
nights in a row next time (have to hope for better entertainment at the
Halsted location, last years' guy was hilarious).
This year's group (those who actually showed up had somewhat different
preferences than expressed by a lot of the online girls) seemed
definitely to prefer socializing to dancing, so we should research
additional bars for next year. Besides, the Boys Town dance clubs
pretty much stay the same year to year.
>How was your hotel? Would you recommend it to others next year?
Sure, loved my hotel (Hilton Garden Inn) and the area in general (found
several other hotels in the same area). Restaurant choices in the area
were better this year and they had just opened an Osco drug store across
the street from my hotel. Definitely would recommend it and the area.
(I think Annie and many others stayed nearby.)
>Did you like the places where we ate and drank?
I really liked dinner at Anne Sather's (which is saying a lot for me,
since I usually hate restaurants in boy mode or girl mode). I did not
like Ed's: too loud, too crowded, and way too many children.

I think we're ready to add a day. I would come up a day earlier next
year, if schedule allows. Lots to do on a Thursday night up there.
>Any particular problems or concerns you had?
Just the on-street hassles I always get in Chicago. A reminder to
always be careful and alert.
>Anyway, let's hear some chatter from the infield, gang. :)
I just wanted to again say thanks to all the people who gave me rides.
Hugs,
