You're welcome. Although I would not recommend this for many of our
people, especially in groups, it is fast and convenient. I had
absolutely no problems taking it from Grand up to Belmont, about a 10
minute or so ride, last Saturday evening.

That station does have escalators, if they are working. It's a quick
transfer down a couple stations to the train to ORD, or a transfer at
Lake to the El to Midway. Much cheaper than a taxi, and actually faster
than one at times. :) The station at O'Hare is new, nice, and in the
terminal. I've never taken the train from Midway, though.
For various reasons, I'm only going to conditionally recommend the El
(in Chicago, you usually call all of it the "El" even though parts
of it are indeed Subway) for Pinkfest transportation. For those who are
comfortable in public and know where you are going, I would say it is
safe. For those who don't know the system, it is easy to get on the
wrong train in the wrong direction and end up blocks (miles) out of
your way in a neighborhood you should not be in.
