The Mix

I tried formatting Annie's schedule with a another field just to see what
kind of mix we had going for PinkFest. I know this stuff isn't going to
line up nice in your mail client, but I tried using a format that everyone
could read:

Date Time Event [Lifestyle/Desc]
_______________________________________________________
Fri: Afternoon: Shopping (Water Tower, Mag Mile) [MAIN/Mall]
     Evening: Dinner (Ed's) [ALT/Burgers]
     After: Baton Show Lounge [ALT/DragSho]
                and/or Gentry/State [ALT/QuietClub]

Sat: Morning: Brunch (location TBD) [TBD/TBD]
     Afternoon: Aquarium/Planetarium [MAIN/Special]
     Evening: Dinner (location TBD) [TBD/TBD]
     After: Bar/club tour (Halsted/Belmont) [ALT/Bars]

Sun: Morning: Farewell breakfast [TBD/TBD]

Lifestyle entries are MAIN for Mainstream (or 'The Straight Community)
or ALT for the Alternative Community (can also mean both)

Some notes about filling in those pesky TBD entries:

PinkFest is all about getting together in the 'real world' without
concern to other peoples lifestyle limitations, so it's very important
that we have a fair mix going on (and I see that we do). It's pretty
important that we keep an even flow in the lifestyle department so we
don't have people spending more time changing in their rooms, rather
than having a good time.

In light of that little comment; Saturday Brunch should probably be
of type MAIN. Which brings us to Saturday Dinner. I'm thinking here that
after an all day experience in MAIN with Brunch and the Aquarium (or
whatever), this is the time to break and freshen up for an evening of ALT.

Honestly, the real reason I reformatted the schedule was because I
thought there was too much in the ALT department, but with the flow of
things I believe it's working out fine. There was a brief mention of a
burger type bar kind of place for Saturday Dinner, but we've already got
Ed's Friday evening.

I'm thinking of something along the lines of a well engineered slab of
dead cow and candle light. I'm a little hesitant about The Kit Kat
because of the mention of the drag performers. Although the food sounds
quite special, and what I'm looking for, we do have a drag show
scheduled for the night before, as well as a quite possibly loud night
ahead of us.
