Well, they don't have their October calendar posted yet at the Gentry
Web site, but they do have some of their October advertising blips up
already, and it appears that that Kathryn Payne plays piano and sings
from 5:30 to 8:30 and that Rudy de la Mor performs cabaret from 9 PM
until 1 AM. Meanwhile, Baton has shows at 8:30, 10:30, and 12:30. So,
we would have plenty of options. One example:
Dinner 7 - 9 PM
Gentry 9:30 - midnight (no guarantee about getting
good seats on a Fri night)
Baton 12:30 (assumes we make reservations)
Of course, there ae other ways to arrange it. One really nice thing is
that the same outfit will easily work for all 3 places. Both Gentry and
Baton are very nice and you can dress up a little. IIRC, the front
tables at Baton are a little awkward (kind of like long picnic tables).
I recommend the smaller, rounder tables at the back or sitting at the
bar (although you view the show from a sharp angle at the bar). They
also have some very nice padded benches that line the wall (by the
spotlight and the sound booth??) that let you sit looking straight ahead.
