You are correct, everybody is on their own, and as of now there are no
Pinkfest activities planned in any hotel.

None of the three hotels that were mentioned on a previous mailing are
under control of Cendant.

It is, however, a valid data point. I tend to steer my business where it
is wanted, and away from where it is not wanted.

In all fairness to Days Inn, however, those I've had dealings with have
all been positive and t-friendly, or at least t-oblivious.

In 1998 in Minneapolis for Fall Harvest, I and some others stayed at a
local Days Inn, as opposed to the Sheraton which was about twice the
price. Due to some foul-up, my key card stopped working Friday
afternoon. I was, of course, in a hurry and totally in girlmode. I went
to the desk, they were very courteous and apologetic, and gave me a
working key card with no hassle.

Each franchise owner, I'm sure, will interpret this letter they way they
think best. Some will consider it ridiculous and blow it off, others
will obey it as if it came from the Almighty.

I'll use this as one factor, among many, when choosing a place to stay,
for Pinkfest and for other occasions, just as I use the Sarah incident
as one factor among many when selecting an airline to fly.
