Somebody may have been interested in having a fashion show for this
year's DLV, but the conversation is not easy to find. If you made this
suggestion recently, please write in and remind us, as the EHM team may
be interested.
Plans for the EHM gathering on Wednesday are moving forward on the
ad-hoc lists. No final decisions have been made but it appears that
things are leaning toward an "all-inclusive" evening session as the
featured "anchor" activity for Wednesday evening.

As of Wednesday morning the total registered headcount is 123, which
includes 20 SOs. This is still ahead of where we were at this time last
year when the count was 113 and 17.

Bare Minerals appointments

The BM sessions are scheduled, differently for this year.
The question isn't which day because appointments are available Every
day starting when the store is open, including the pre-DLV days. Note
the Store hours below.

Here's the final draft (all inclusive) on the Bare Minerals Makeup
Sessions and scheduling.
Bare Minerals, Las Vegas store in the Fashion Show Mall congratulates
DLV on their 20th. {annual event} and continues their support for
helping our attendees look 'FAB'.
This year, Cindy, the store Manager, setup an Open Booking style for
making DLV appointments.The goal of Open Booking for appointments is to
better match the attendees schedules with MU artists availability. There
is NO cost for the appointment and makeup session.
MU appointments are available for ALL skill levels including
first-timers with these options for MU application; - First-time MU
session - Beginner techniques - Intermediate techniques - Eye Brows 101
session - Advanced session such as smokey eye & contouring
The store is available during all of their shop hours to help us with our
individual makeup needs & questions.

RE: DLV Registration workflow
So, the suggestion is to have the DLV registration workflow, as follows;
- attendees first sign up for the activity that triggers an email
reminder to call the store for appt. The email has a field to enter the
day/time they picked. - after the attendee makes their appt., they enter
the date/time into the reminder email and hit REPLY. - one reminder
email is sent just before their appt.
Something like this workflow might reduce tracking efforts and nag
emails.

The workflow looks quite workable. I just hope the people will follow

Volunteers and new attendees:

1). If Vera would like me to I will assist her with the new attendees
orientation. If she does not need any help or someone else has already
volunteered then I am totally ok with that too.
2). Also, If we do a Volunteers lunch I will definitely attend this.
Assuming it will be on Thursday of course. I am not one who is into
being appreciated as in Volunteers appreciation lunch I do tiny bit for
the cause because I like to do it and it makes me happy. I would rather
that we call it Simply a Volunteers lunch if that's ok with the rest
of the Vol's?
This way we can invite along those who might want to get more involved
for future DLV's, Whereas they might think if it was titled as an
appreciation lunch then they would be excluded.
Just my thoughts on the subject..

Thanks Katie.
Both the New Attendee Orientation and the volunteer activities are most
definitely evolving concepts.
I think the selection of personnel is good, meaning two people who have
been with the program for many years and know just about everything that
there is to know about the program but are still able to easily relate
to the rank and file.
We do need a bit more structure to the session and we can work on that.
We really don't know what the volunteer activity will be this year, but
you are correct in that we want to include those who are potential
volunteers.
JoAnn was thinking about an afternoon tea or dessert type of volunteer
session but nothing has been set in stone yet.

Activity Highlight:

I thought I would revise the description of KKK and not just let last
years activity highlight just roll on. Mainly because I may have left
something out last time which might have helped better for this years
info page. Ok, So here goes.

Katies Koffee Korner.
Held each day Monday to Friday in the Flamingo Casino boutique mall at
Club Cappuccino.
This is located directly across from the elevators to the Spa Tower
rooms.
There are actually 2 Club Cappuccinos, One is a quick serve outlet in
the same Mini Mall hallway. Keep walking past that one! towards the
erotic gift store with the giant legs at the end of the hallway and Club
C will be on your left. (If you arrive at the escalators to the parking
you have gone too far).
To find the Club C first go to the check in desk. turn left and keep
walking along the hallway. 100 yards or so and Voiila, you have
arrived!.
Now to what it's all about.
We meet each morning for a nice easy social chat and our daily Coffee /
Sugar Fix with the girls
A sticky donut or two never hurt anyone who is on vacation as far as we
know!
It is never over run with T ladies, We usually have only 5 or 6 give or
take 1 or 2, Tuesday being the exception when the Golf Gang will dash in
en masse for a few and then out again.
We will be either inside if it is cool but most likely we will be out on
the patio at the entrance to the Flamingo gardens. (Which by the way is
a really nice spot for photos).
Please feel free to dress casually if that is your style but Please
don't arrive in slutty wear if you have been up all night or in a facial
mask either This will most definitely spoil a nice morning for the rest
of the girls.
We Do prefer that you show up as women but if you are in a rush and have
no time to dress in the AM and want a coffee with friendly faces around
before kicking off your day then feel free to come along in Guy mode.
Everyone is welcome so if you have your wife or SO with you please do
not leave her or him out sitting alone somewhere. bring them along with
you. Bev and I are quite sociable and usually polite people and we both
dress nicely which means your SO will be probably be comfortable with
us.
We usually stick around for about 1 hour and some of the girls actually
arrive fashionably late so if you are late then someone should likely
still be there at 9AM.
Both Beverly and I have attended numerous DLVs periodically over the
years so we have a good idea of what you might need to know about it and
you can find out a lot about DLV and what we do at KKK. This is a really
great way to start off your week at Diva especially if it is your first
one. Quite a lot of our ladies have hooked up with others at KKK and
arranged a shared cab or two to save a few $$ or a ride to and from
evening and daytime events.
