We have a need for more feedback and comments, particularly regarding
the understood conditions the Yardhouse requires. (See below.)

Now, "Can We Tawk?" :)

A quick peg count of DLVORG list members and responses to the recent
threads involving our "final" gathering show that only about 20% of the
active volunteers have voiced any opinion! This includes quite a few who
are currently registered for the upcoming DLV 2016 event.

We need your comments, please!

Just hit REPLY and give us your comments.

Even a one-liner such as "I like it, I'll be there" or "I think I will
just skip it" is perfectly fine. If you don't want your name used, just
say so and we won't publish your name with the comments.

We need to hear from more of our volunteers on this issue, please!

Hello all.

I want to respond to some of annie's question.

The menu option is $25 for three course dinner.

There are options for the entree in the menu. If someone is there my
sense is they will charge us for that person, but I will check to
confirm.

I think it's very unrealistic to think that anyone can just be there and
us not be charged $35. There are some higher priced menus above $25 but
that doesn't seem like something we need to even pursue. There has to be
some give and take in order for both parties to make it work.

Thanks, Cami.

We REALLY need some feedback here, particularly from those who disagree
with what I am saying in this next section.

Cami, please check to confirm, as this could be the very same situation
that we had last year with Margaritaville, meaning no option to simply
socialize without buying a meal.

What I want to see for our "Celebration" gathering is maximum turnout
and participation, leading to a maximum level of enjoyment and maximum
satisfaction with the evening.

I fail to see how we can come anywhere close to a maximum turnout if the
condition of attending is that you pay for a meal whether you want it or
not.

If there is not an option to attend and socialize (and, of course, pay
for bar drinks in the process) without paying for a meal, I can very
easily foresee many of our people choosing to skip the affair, and
that's what we do not want for our 20th. Annual Celebration!

If anyone thinks that I am mis-reading the behavior and spending
patterns of our attendees, please say so.
