Date vote results:

Votes are in and polls are closed. Here are the results:

A. Week beginning Sunday, March 22, 2015: 13
B. Week beginning Sunday, April 19, 2015: 4
C. Week beginning Sunday, April 26, 2015: 3

Last vote was dated: Mon, 4 Aug 2014 00:53:48 PDT and polls were closed
at that time on Wednesday.

One vote required clarification, which was received. One report of a
missing ballot was received, and system logs show the message accepted
by the mail receiver of the recipient's e-mail domain. One duplicate
vote was received.

The result was not unanimous, but a clearly decisive majority.

Those who are very observant may have noticed the slight change in
wording of the date vote ballot this year, specifically the lack of end
dates on the timespans above. This was very intentional, leaving open
the option of expanding to a 7-day event. This, of course, is highly
dependent upon explicitly-stated volunteer commitment, and we'll be
discussing this as we formulate the overall event strategy in the
immediate future.

Our customary one-month Call For Comments is now open, to end Saturday,
September 6. Assuming no significant objections are received, the date
will become final at that time. The week of our event will be noted as
"tentative" on the web site and a general mailing will be sent out this
weekend. A note will be posted in the DLV Discussion Forum later today.

Web server upgrade:

Those who are extremely observant may have noticed that the DLV web site
(among others) was moved to a new upgraded server on Thursday of last
week. This mainly gains us stability and performance and should
eliminate some various arcane error messages which have been reported
lately.

Most of the functions are stable and running well on the new server.

The issues with the older server have delayed the "Information" project
and those of you on the list to be involved with this can expect some
activity in the very near future.
