DLV date discussion:

We'll keep the date discussion open until active input ceases, which
will be at least one more list cycle.

Again, the weeks under consideration are:

1. Week beginning Sunday, March 22, 2015
2. Week beginning Sunday, April 19, 2015
3. Week beginning Sunday, April 26, 2015

We will vote after the active discussion on the dates dies down.

One thing to please keep in mind is that any issues regarding any of
these dates, such as your personal non-availability, need to be brought
up during the discussion period (which is now) and not after the vote is
taken. Likewise, any voting issue, such as ballot non-receipt, need to be
brought up before the outcome of the vote is known.

I like the dates suggested for DLV2015. My schedule has an annual
meeting somewhere near the end of April. I will check with them to see
if it can be nailed down.

Also, I'm tracking a new event called, Life is Beautiful.

Their 2013 event was attended by 60,000 crazy fans in a Woodstock-style
mass gathering. Most lower priced hotel rooms were gone. Their next date
is Friday, October 24 through Sunday, October 26, 2014. They are
discussing in 2015 having maybe two events with no dates specified, yet.
One potential date is Spring Break so it is worth tracking.When I learn
of their schedule I will post it out.

Administrative Committee seat:

Toward the end of this week (Friday, Saturday), we'll be sending out the
"ballot" mailing for the even-year Administrative Committee seat.

Candidates for this position are, in order of nomination:

1. Gina
2. Dionne (Kandi)

Since this will be the first vote of the 2014-2015 DLV year, it is very
possible that some errors or omissions may occur. If you are of voting
status and do not receive your ballot mailing by this coming Sunday
morning at the very latest, please be sure to let us know.

For those new to the voting process, we send out a special ballot
mailing and keep the polls open until no further votes are received for
a 48 hour period. We track the votes by Message-ID, so please be sure to
CC: or BCC: yourself so you have a record of your vote. We post the
received votes in this list with enough of the Message-ID so that the
votes can be recognized by those casting them, but not enough so the
voting individual is obvious. This allows missing votes and questions
about any unauthorized votes to be easily rectified.
