Credit where credit is due:

This is a quick touch-base mailing covering a few topics.

Over the next week or so we're asking all volunteers to please check
e-mail frequently and please read any DLVORG items promptly. We are
now in our "crunch time" and we want to be sure that any important
items get resolved quickly.

If you sent in anything and did not receive the expected response,
please inquire, remind or resend. During the "crunch" period it's
very easy to overlook something.

We would ask all, particularly those who are coordinating activities,
to look over the following. This is the "credits" for the Large Final
Mailing next week.

Pre-DLV gathering:

You do have a point, Bob. As I look over the on-line menu I can
easily see the price point being a deterrent from attending. I
know I would personally enjoy the place, but we don't want to price
our people out of attending.

If you (or anyone else) has any other suggestions, please say so.

One of our goals of the Pre-DLV gathering in the past has been to
test-drive a new venue. It would be nice if that could happen, but
there's nothing that says that we can't re-use something that has
worked out well before.

The one which we've used in recent years which has worked out well
was PT's Pub on Sahara. It's known to be TG friendly and it's very
reasonably priced.

Here are the Pre-DLV venues over the past 5 years:

2012: Mr Bills (property closed)
2011: Firefly Paradise (very low turnout)
2010: Las Palmas (reported gang activity)
2009: PT's Pub (no significant issues)
2008: Alexis Park (higher price points)

Unless someone has an objection, I'll throw out PT's on Sahara as
a possibility.

Any other suggestions?
