Please read Cynthia's initial Artisan report below. Marisa's
DCR report should be in your inbox if you have not read it
already.
Comments on both of these options, please, and the sooner the
better. We're still on the fast track.
Please watch those inboxes closely over the next few days, as
we do have a decision to make.

Preliminary Artisan report:

Hi Divas, Annie, JoAnne, and Marisa,
I have just returned from Artisan Hotel Boutique Restaurant and Ultra
Lounge, where I concluded very fruitful negotiations with Hotel Manager,
Jamal Ealey and Food and Beverage Manager, Joey Luera. Herewith are the
main points of agreement we established.
a. We will have 100 to 120 attendees through the door and at the bar,
and at least 75 diners in the restaurant beginning 6:00pm Monday, April
4th. I mentioned to them that many of us may be gone by 10:00pm, but
that some may not want to leave=3B (Artisan is a place you can easily
fall in love with) they said no problem, open late.
b. I mentioned to Mr. Lurea that we may purchase more meals given a full
menu with lots of variety. He stated that he could easily provide that,
but with the added variety and choices he will have to bring in
additional kitchen and wait staff and that preparation and service times
will necessarily be lengthened. Less variety and choice means shorter
prep and service times, he said, but the option in entirely ours (yours)
and he will go either way. I did not look at the bar or restaurant menu
or prices.
c. They want to offer us Group Rates on hotel rooms, and I told them
that I could not answer that and that I would pass the option on to you.
You can see the rooms on their website, of course. Each one is themed
differently on an individual artist and his or her work, and they are
just a world in themselves. They also mentioned that they would be most
happy to have us as guests at anytime prior to beginning of Diva and
that we should simply let them know we're coming and what group we are
with. They flatly stated that they are very comfortable with our
lifestyle and are most happy to serve us. I made it perfectly clear to
them the nature of our social group and how we conduct ourselves and
that we will be there for comraderie and socialization and that we knew
very well how to conduct ourselves among the mainstream public, and that
our dress standards are strictly enforced. No mention of restroom usage
was brought up or mentioned by either negotiating party.
d. I told them that we would like to self-park our vehicles. They stated
that this may not be possible and that they could only offer valet
parking at this time. I'm assuming that this is a legal and or traffic
code consideration with them, but that is just an assumption on my part.
I told them that this was a very low priority item with us and not to
give it any further consideration at this time (things were progressing
so good at this point, I didn't want to do anything to jinx them). The
parking lot does look smallish.
So, that said, they stated that they considered the entire affair a
"done deal" and that they would look forward to serving us at the said
date and time. We are in.
I leave it to you to make your final choice and finalize any further
details with them. They have your email address and you have theirs.
