We have received a "goodly number" of responses on the Diva
Week dates with comments.
This is most helpful to the Organization Group to understand
how many of you feel regarding particular dates and the various
issues around trying to make your schedules fit the proposed
Diva weeks. As Annie said, the discussion will be open to
mid-October and then the Organization Group will be selecting
the Diva Week..

Date discussion:
A Call For Comments notice went out in the general mailing last
weekend, asking for comments from the general DLV audience on
our candidate timeframes.
Quite a bit of feedback has come in and has been posted to the
DLV Discussion Forum. Please check in every so often in the DLV
Discussion Forum to keep an eye on the feedback.
The items below are those which were received in response to
the latest ORG mailing.
We're scheduled to begin voting in mid October, which leaves
two list cycles between now and our vote. Please be sure to
keep up with the discussion both here and in the Discussion
Forum in anticipation of your vote.

As far as the dates are concerned I would prefer the April 3-8
or earlier time frame.
The week after Easter is bad for me and May can be very hot
(like 2 years ago). Due to my work situation, I still don't
know if I can make it to DLV next year, but I hope to find out
within the next month if my task has been funded for the next
fiscal year.

It's not really important which dates we choose but April 3rd
to April 8th is best for me.
We have to stop thinking for someone else!
I can only say what is best for me. ("And Remember".... We
were asked to say what is best for "US" personally and not
what is best for Jehovah's witnesses and catholics or Amish
people and the multitudes of denominations that soceity has
produced over the past 5000 years)
If I start telling you about how difficult it is for others
religious reasons I could only be speculating and we won't
have a D L V at all. I suspect that is a large part of the
worlds problems these days. I can't believe we still do this
sort of "Oh so careful" thinking.
The people who can't be there won't be and the folks who can
will! So let them speak for themselves they have a tongue in
their head to say their piece and a finger at the end of their
hand to type with. It's not That hard to do!

hi I am kathy an I leave in las vegas as nora an I talk at
times. the limos go from 50 dollars a hour 6 to 8 seats, so
the cost total for a limo for 3 hours is around 150 dollars.
have to shop around an get a good price. so for 6 people it
would not be that much an a good time. that is just my thought
